For over 40 years CTI has provided free seated massage to San Francisco's unhoused and marginally housed communities.

Our work is grounded in dignity and respect offering pathways to healing one person at a time. We believe that the service of caring through touch is a sacred work of compassion, justice, and love. We offer free seated massage by trained massage therapists to San Francisco's unhoused and marginally housed. Our mission is to be present with human suffering and promote healing through human connection. We do this by serving in the spirit of compassion, non-judgment, and love.

Marley is a massage therapist with Care Through Touch, a San Francisco nonprofit offering free chair massage to people facing homelessness. She sees safe touch as a basic human need, and for many of the people she works with, it's rare.

Care for caregivers. Nurses who provide critical care to the unhoused, marginally housed, isolated, elderly and marginalized also need care and nervous system resetting. Our practitioners love when they give the opportunity to give back to those who give so much.

Compassionate touch/trauma informed massage can help regulate the nervous system, reduce stress and over time restore a deep sense of safety.
