As we observe World Mental Health Day, we reaffirm our dedication to cultivating a workplace where mental well-being is prioritized, encouraged and available to everyone. This year’s theme, "Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change," emphasizes the importance of listening to and amplifying lived experiences to help drive meaningful change in mental health awareness and support. Through our GMR Life program, we offer valuable resources designed to support our team members throughout their personal and professional journeys.

πŸ“šπŸš‘ Had a fantastic time attending the College & Career Fair at Cindy Avitia High School with EMTs Dorothie Jade & Joey! It was an honor to represent AMR and share the many rewarding career paths available in EMS, from becoming an EMT to advancing as a Paramedic.

One of the best parts of the day was connecting with students, answering their questions, and helping them explore careers dedicated to serving others. You never know who might become the next lifesaver in our community!

I love opportunities like this that allow us to give back, inspire the next generation, and show students that a meaningful career in emergency medical services is within reach.

Thank you to the staff and students at Cindy Avitia High School for the warm welcome and great conversations. We look forward to seeing some future EMTs and Paramedics join the EMS family one day! β€οΈπŸš‘

Each year, Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) takes the lives of hundreds of thousands of Americans. To increase the survival rate, it’s important to educate individuals on what SCA is, what the warning signs are and how to respond if someone around you goes into cardiac arrest. Studies show survival from SCA can be doubled or tripled if CPR is administered until emergency medical services arrive.

If you find someone unresponsive and not breathing normally, take the following steps:

β€’ Send someone for an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
β€’ Check for responsiveness
β€’ Call 911
β€’ Push hard and fast, center of the chest
β€’ Keep going until help arrives
