Saying goodbye is never fun, but we took a moment to say just that last week to Ms. Kim Pierce who sailed into retirement after 29 years at San Andreas Regional Center ! She spent the last 14 years as the district manager for the early start program in our Salinas office, managing the program and collaborating with our partners. Prior to that, she was a service coordinator out at the now closed Agnews State Hospital in Santa Clara!

Kim was always a pleasure to work with and although we will miss her, we do wish her the very best as she starts her next chapter. Cheers 🥂 to you Kim and thank you for all of your hard work over the years !!!!

Join SPIN Santa Cruz with San Andreas Regional Center for the Emergency Preparedness Resource Fair on September 12 from 10am-1 in Santa Cruz. Come and meet with local organizations that can support you during and emergency. Prepare for
disasters and create a safety plan!

Thank you to the CaliforniaDDS team, Katie, Yang, Michael, and Dede for spending the day with San Andreas Regional Center yesterday! They were able to visit a couple of unique programs that were started with their partnership to address some unique issues. They were also able to speak to staff about success and challenges and what the state needs to do to continue to invest for the future needs of this community.

Thank you to Housing Choices Hope Services and at Omelagah Inc. for their support.

The two programs were the 12th street apartments that serve as transitional housing . The enhanced spirited living program and the enhanced day program.
