As seen at Sunday’s Petite Retreat exploring the archetypal energies of wounded healers from Chiron to Neelakatha. For me, the Kintsugi exercise was a reflection on compassion as the gold that connects. Not to mention the frustration and “stickiness” of the reparation process.
I’m grateful to the extraordinary people who shared this experience as we move together through a season of change.

The new moon in Aries represents the year’s most powerful time for personal renewal and initiation. We’ll tap into that awareness April 19 during a petite retreat at
This lunar energy also is influenced by Chiron, the mythic “wounded healer,” that encourages us to turn vulnerabilities into wisdom for courageous action.

We’ll gather for an afternoon of connection and archetypal exploration guided by please join us for nurturing movement; deep rest yoga Nidra, and time to materializing intentions by crafting a new vision of our future using the symbolism of Kintsugi.

What is Kintsugi? It’s the centuries-old Japanese art of “golden joinery.” The process of repairing broken pottery elevates imperfection to art - or at least an artful lesson. This metaphor for mending also symbolizes our capacity for Renewal.

After co-leading our retreat in Mexico, I needed space to recalibrate. I found it on the pasture at Finca Soley, where I thought a lot about Buddhist teachings on equipoise. About how true balance isn’t absence of feeling, but a poised response to whatever arises.

Mingling with these horses and humans, becoming part of the herd, I watched the horses graze with pure presence.
They noticed every sound. They took in the scents on the wind. They resonated calm awareness.

From time in the pasture, I’m remembering to:
- Embrace the moment with open awareness
- Let thoughts come and go like the wind
- Breathe. And experience breath as a steady, grounding anchor;
- Meet fear, doubt, and joy with similar acceptance;
- Move with gentleness, not forcing, not resisting.

May we step into each day with the horses’ grace—present, gentle, awake. 🐎🌿🧘‍♀️
