Jenn Kennedy, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #99688

My career path has been varied. I started as a publicist — then worked as a freelance journalist for over a decade. I had a burning desire to understand what made people expand and retract, struggle or thrive. I’ve interviewed hundreds of fascinating people throughout my professional life. I earned a Masters in Clinical Psychology and tr

ained with both Community Counseling and Education Center (CCEC) and Pacific Pride Foundation (PPF) in Santa Barbara. Additionally, I’ve taken training focused on helping couples through the Gottman Institute and Sue Johnson’s EFT. In January 2022, I finished a PhD in Clinical S*xology. I have also done extensive training in in EMDR, S*x Addiction and S*x Therapy. Please call for a free consultation.

In long-term relationships, it’s common to long for what things felt like in the beginning, while also navigating how connection evolves over time.

Jenn recommends “Mating in Captivity” by Esther Perel, which explores the balance between intimacy and desire, and “Come As You Are” by Emily Nagoski, a resource that helps normalize and better understand s*xual desire and experience.

Both offer a reminder that connection, intimacy, and desire are not fixed. They can be understood, nurtured, and rediscovered over time. 🌷

In the middle of busy schedules, stress, and constant demands, it can be easy to lose touch with ourselves and the ways we relate to others.

Kristi recommends “Being Well” by Rick Hanson, a podcast based on neuroscience that offers resources for mental health, relationships, mindfulness, and emotional wellbeing.

Through evidence-based conversations and real life application, the podcast helps listeners better understand how we can move through life with greater awareness and intention.

Moments of calm can often be found in the smallest places 🌿✨

A gentle reminder to slow down, take a breath, and make space for stillness in the middle of everyday life.

In many conversations around masculinity, s*xuality is often tied to performance, which creates pressure, anxiety, and disconnection.

Matt shares a resource he often draws from in his work with clients; in “Contemporary Male S*xuality”, Barry and Emily McCarthy offer a different perspective that centers on flexibility, connection, and authenticity over perfection.

A helpful reminder that healthy s*xuality isn’t about being “on,” but about being human. 🤍
