A little coffee, a lot of joy, and a reminder of why meaningful work matters.

This weekend, Beaver visited Bitty & Beau’s Coffee in Jacksonville, Florida, and had the best time chatting with the team and reminiscing about our Rise Up Cafe days.

Maddie, Diamond, Corey, Lexie, Tim, and Hollie were welcoming, proud, and absolutely on top of their work. Every one of them clearly loves being part of the team, and it showed in the way they served customers, supported each other, and filled the shop with energy.

Places like Bitty & Beau’s remind us what happens when people with intellectual and developmental disabilities are given real opportunities to work, contribute, and shine.

Great coffee. Great people. Great mission.

Thanks for the warm welcome, Jacksonville team!

Sometimes inclusion looks like a grocery bag, a walk down the hall, and a handwritten thank-you note.

Please join us in celebrating Maryann, who has started working with us at Sunnyside Village through our Inclusion Revolution and Haven partnership.

Here’s Maryann helping a Sunnyside resident after a grocery run, carrying bags, offering support, and making sure everything got safely home.

Maryann is building confidence, practicing job skills, and sharing her abilities. Residents are gaining a helper, a familiar face, and a friend.

And Maryann’s thank-you note says it best: “Thank you. I love my job at Sunnyside.”

Thank you, Sunnyside Village, for helping create meaningful opportunities for our Integrated Jobs participants.

Start stretching. The Bus Pull is coming back!

We’re already planning the 2027 Bus Pull for Inclusion, happening early next year, and we can’t wait to do it all again.

Last year’s pull brought teams, laughter, grit, community, and a whole lot of inclusion together all to support real jobs and opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

More details coming soon. Until then, enjoy this look back at 2026 and start thinking about your team name and your key pullers. Same 40,000-lb. bus (it won’t be any lighter)!

Thank you, Suncoast Charities for Children!

We’re honored to have received a $7,000 grant from Suncoast Charities for Children to purchase Work-Ready Kits and assistive and sensory support tools for our Integrated Jobs participants.

These resources will help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities begin new jobs with confidence by removing barriers and providing the tools they need to succeed.

Thank you to the Board, Executive Director Lucy Nicandri, volunteers, sponsors, and everyone who supports Suncoast Charities for Children. Your generosity is creating meaningful opportunities and building a more inclusive community.

Together, we’re changing lives, one job at a time.

First-rate work and real relationships at Sunnyside Village.

I checked in on our Integrated Jobs Ambassadors from The Haven at Sunnyside Village yesterday, and I was incredibly impressed.

Everyone arrived on time, headed to their respective departments, and got right to work:

•Matt in Transportation
•Kevin in Food Services
•Kristi, Megan, and Dylan in the dining room
•Nicki in Assisted Living

The work itself matters, but so do the relationships being built.

The first resident to arrive for lunch was greeted by Megan, who knew her name and remembered that she prefers hot tea. Dylan welcomed the first gentleman by name and already knew that his favorite drink was an Arnold Palmer.

That is more than good service. That is care, attention, belonging, and pride in doing a job well.

It was inspiring to see our team members using their abilities, supporting Sunnyside residents, and making a meaningful impact across the campus.

This is what inclusion looks like. And this is what happens when people are given the opportunity to shine.

A grocery run with a whole lot of heart.

Twice a week, Inclusion Revolution participants from The Haven join the Sunnyside Village Grocery Run, helping residents shop for the things they need while sharing conversation, laughter, and time together.

Our team helps reach items on high shelves, carries bags, assists at checkout, rides alongside residents in the van, and helps bring groceries safely back to their homes and rooms.

It may look like a simple trip to the store, but it is so much more.
It is about being helpful.
It is about building relationships.
It is about contributing to the community.

And it is about inclusion. People of different ages and abilities spending time together, supporting one another, and finding joy in the everyday moments.

We are grateful to Sunnyside Village for continuing to create meaningful opportunities for our participants to share their abilities and make a real difference.

At Inclusion Revolution, we work to find the fit.

Rooted & Rising is our new garden-to-market program in partnership with Mission ABLE, The Haven, Sunnyside Village, and Hunsader Farms. Participants are planting, harvesting vegetables, picking flowers, creating vase arrangements, working the market, interacting with Sunnyside senior living residents, and building real job skills through meaningful work.

Now we’re raising funds to build out the garden plot with protective fencing, raised beds, soil, supplies, and a shade pavilion for participants, residents, and plants.

This is more than a garden. It’s another outlet. Another opportunity. Another place to grow purpose, confidence, and belonging.
