A very special congratulations to my dear friend Dr. Michele Halyard on receiving the Distinguished Dignitary in Healthcare Award; to the Coalition of Blacks Against Cancer (CBAC), an organization I am honored to serve on the board of, on receiving the Organizational Community Award; and to my dear friend Dr. Brook Choulet and Choulet Performance Psychiatry on receiving the Outstanding Private Practice in Healthcare Award.

So well deserved. I’m grateful to know, serve alongside, and cheer on so many remarkable leaders in Arizona healthcare. Congratulations to each of this year’s honorees!

Under the Tuscan Sun 💐
A beautiful afternoon of community, connection, and purpose at the Coalition of Blacks Against Cancer (CBAC) Under the Tuscan Sun Brunch.
From the powerful procession honoring cancer survivors, to hearing personal stories of how CBAC has impacted individuals throughout their cancer journeys, the afternoon was a meaningful reminder of why this work matters.
It was especially wonderful to gather alongside physicians, nurses, community leaders, advocates, survivors, and supporters—all connected by a shared commitment to improving cancer awareness, support, and outcomes in our community.
Grateful for the people who have built and sustained this important work, and excited for all that lies ahead. 💛

Grateful to stand alongside a few of the incredible new and returning faculty who invest their time, knowledge, and hearts in training the next generation of physicians at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. It was especially meaningful to teach alongside Dr. Moffitt—my attending physician during residency—who has dedicated her career to mentoring and inspiring thousands of physicians. What a full-circle honor to now serve as faculty beside someone who helped shape my own journey. One of the greatest gifts of academic medicine has also been the friendships I've built with colleagues who share a passion for compassionate care, mentorship, and lifelong learning. Looking forward to an inspiring year with our newest medical students. 🩺

Happy National Doctors’ Day 💚

From my white coat ceremony—before marriage and children—to now… what a journey!

It is an incredible honor to serve as a physician and walk alongside my patients through some of life’s most important moments. This work is truly a calling, and one I never take for granted.

At the same time, I come home to my greatest joy—my family—proudly serving as “Uber driver” to three busy kids 😄
