Watch the arches closely. They changed.

Halfway through the build, I knew the radius wasn’t going to produce the look I wanted. So they came down, and we rebuilt. Not because anyone else would have noticed—but because I would have. Surgery trains you that way: the standard doesn’t move just because the work is hard to redo. 🤍

That same persistence follows me into the operating room: planning carefully, noticing every detail, and doing everything I can to create the best possible outcome for each patient. Close enough will never be my standard. ✨

I was honored and humbled to be chosen for the 2026 Faculty Award by the residents of Mayo Clinic AZ, in recognition of dedication and commitment to excellence in plastic surgery graduate medical education.

I love teaching the next generation of plastic surgeons at the institution where I trained Mayo Clinic Arizona Plastic Surgery Residency and hosting the residents in my practice, giving them exposure to private practice and aesthetic surgery. 🎓

Can’t believe on this day, 2 years ago, our family faced a frightening reminder that we share our beautiful desert home with rattlesnakes, after our 3-year-old son was bitten. We are grateful and lucky that our son made a full recovery and hope by re-sharing our story, we can spread awareness and education to our fellow Arizona families 🤍

If you or a loved one is ever bitten, here’s what to do:

🐍 Call 911 immediately and seek emergency medical care

🐍 Gently remove tight clothing or jewelry near the bite

🐍 Clean the area with soap and water if possible

🐍 Stay calm and try keep the affected limb below the level of the heart

❌ Don’t apply a tourniquet

❌ Don’t attempt to suck out the venom
