The ComForCare staff recently had the opportunity to join Seattle Pacific University for a student job fair. It was a great success as a fair with hundreds of attendees, and we had over 40 students express interest in joining the ComForCare team, with over 10 following up with a formal application.

Tabbi and Sienna did a great job of engaging with the students, who brought a ton of enthusiasm and energy. We look forward to work with them and to continue engaging with SPU. A special thanks to Kyla Truscinski for inviting us and congratulations on a great event.

Please join Murano Senior Living and ComForCare Home Care in welcoming filmmaker Eric Gordon to Seattle for a screening of his award winning documentary film "When All That's Left is Love". This important and poignant film has been screened over 100 times both domestically and internationally, winning over 70 awards throughout the world. After the screening, there will be a panel discussion including Eric and area professionals working in the area of dementia, as well as refreshments provided by the Murano. Also in attendance will be Eric's mother, a central figure in the film as the caregiver for Eric's father. Experts in the field and representatives of area dementia resources will be present as well. All are invited, whether involved in the industry or people who have been personally affected by this disease.

Companion/Sitter/Household Management
Provide companionship and respite services for family
Perform homemaking activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning bathrooms
Transportation
Driving clients to medical appointments, errands, visits with family and friends, or outings. Depending on situation may be using own vehicle or clients. Valid and up to date license and insurance a must
Medication Reminders
Qualifications/Educational Requirements:
High school graduate or G.E.D certificate
Licensed to provide home care in Washington State. For some unlicensed candidates, paid HCA training is available
At least 1 year experience as a Home Care Aide (in homes or facilities) desired, or other applicable experience
Be listed in good standing on with the Washington DSHS Background Check System
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
Possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured automobile or access to adequate transportation for the job
Experience with specific conditions such as dementia, Parkinson's, etc a plus
Experience and comfort with holistic/integrative healthcare plus
