This patient visited us with two main concerns: a prominent dorsal hump and a downward-turned nasal tip. Using strategically placed dermal filler, we were able to completely transform his side profile! We are incredibly honored to be a part of this patient’s Facial Feminization Surgery (FFS) journey. FFS requires a highly customized, comprehensive approach to soften facial features and align them with the patient’s gender identity.

To achieve a harmonious and beautifully feminine result, we performed a combination of hard tissue (bone) contouring and soft tissue lifting:

- Upper Face: An FUT Hair Transplant (up to 1,000 grafts) was performed to round and lower the hairline. This was combined with a Brow Bone Reduction (Frontal Sinus Setback), Orbital Bone Reduction, and a Brow Lift to open the eyes and create a softer, smoother upper facial third.
- Mid-Face: A Mid-Face Lift and Rhinoplasty were utilized to elevate the cheeks, refine the nasal contour, and perfectly balance the center of the face.
- Lower Face & Neck: To narrow the lower third of the face, we performed Chin and Jaw Bone Reduction. This was paired with a Lip Lift to shorten the upper lip distance, along with a Lower Face & Neck Lift to tighten the underlying tissues and establish a smooth, elegant profile.

At the 2-month mark, a significant amount of the initial surgical swelling has subsided, revealing her beautiful new structural foundation. However, recovery from extensive bone contouring and soft tissue lifting is a gradual process. We are so excited to see her results continue to settle and gracefully refine over the next several months as residual swelling resolves.

A comprehensive look at the chest reconstruction journey: from the “before,” into the operating room, immediate surgical results, and right up to the 1-week post-op milestone.


Ni**le Graft Healing At 1 week post-op, we carefully remove the ni**le bolsters. You will notice the ni**les currently have a very dark appearance—this is completely normal and expected. This dark layer is simply a protective scab that forms during the initial healing phase. It will naturally peel away on its own as the healthy tissue underneath continues to heal over the coming weeks.


Drain Management & Unique Recovery While surgical drains can often be removed at this 1-week appointment, this patient is still actively draining fluid. For his safety and to ensure optimal healing, we have left the drains in place for a bit longer. It is important to remember that everyone’s body processes recovery differently, and every healing journey is completely unique.
