Congratulations to Megan Elwood, BSN, RN, CEN, on being named a 2026 MHA Champions of Care Nurse Champion by the Missouri Hospital Association.

As Nurse Residency Coordinator and Clinical Educator at Bothwell, Megan has built a structured mentorship program that helps new nurses move from classroom learning to confident clinical practice. Her work is strengthening Bothwell's nursing team and the care our patients receive.

Thanks to this federal funding, Bothwell has been designated as a Rural Health Innovation Center and will lead the effort to bring advanced health care technology to Sedalia and rural Missouri. Ready to turn your community-based organization's great ideas into reality in Pettis County? Transformation of Rural Community Health (ToRCH) Be Well grant funding can help you secure the resources you need.

Since late 2024, ToRCH has awarded more than $538,000 to 10 organizations, with an average award of $53,800. These funds are specifically transforming the lives of Pettis County Medicaid recipients by addressing social needs like safe housing, transportation, access to healthy food and chronic illness support.

Bothwell Wound Healing Center has earned the 2025 Healogics President's Circle award — the highest honor in the Healogics network — along with the Center of Distinction and Clinical Excellence awards. Of more than 600 wound care centers nationwide, only 35 received the President's Circle distinction this year.

The center achieved a patient satisfaction score of 94.35% and a wound healing rate of 86.47% to qualify. This is the second time Bothwell Wound Healing Center has earned the President's Circle award.
