Honoring Loved Ones Through Our Hospice Butterfly Releases
VNA Health System and Crossings Hospice were honored once again this year to gather with the families and friends of our hospice patients who have passed.
Our annual Hospice Butterfly Releases provide a special time to pause, remember, and honor the lives of those who touched our hearts.
At each ceremony, families and friends release beautiful painted lady butterflies in memory and honor of their loved ones. These meaningful gatherings were held throughout Central Pennsylvania at:
• Centre Furnace Mansion – State College
• Kish Park – Lewistown
• Lewisburg Home Health- Lewisburg
• Claude E. Kehler Park – Shamokin
Watching each butterfly take flight is a beautiful reminder that although our loved ones may no longer be with us, their memories, their love, and the impact they made continue to live on.

VNA Health System - Crossings Hospice of VNA Shamokin, a VNA Health System agency, will be recognizing the lives and memories of those who have gone before us.

With the symbolic release of butterflies, we will remember those who have lost the battle with terminal illnesses and those who are still struggling. As the butterflies float skyward, so too will the good wishes and prayers of those who watch them fly.
