Today is my mother‘s birthday. She passed in 2019 and I just had to chuckle because she would sing all the time around the house and many times she didn’t get the words right but she didn’t care. I tried singing this from memorization. I don’t know if I got all the words right but I think I did, but I don’t care. what a beautiful commute I had today driving toEagar, rising in elevation above 8000 feet to where these beautiful aspens and fir trees are and the clouds were amazing. I just thought what a wonderful world we live in and I did a little à la Louis Armstrong at the end there. Sorry for the wind sound, but it couldn’t be helped being outdoors today.

We had a wonderful Friday lunch and learn for the first time yesterday. We enjoyed salmon, avocado, lettuce wraps, and some wonderful bean salad. If you eat right and treat yourself kindly that’s one way to improve mental health and help your sleep. We heard Wayne talk about simple guided meditations or self hypnosis before bed. Sydney shared various herbs that can help aid sleep and calm anxiety and I shared one of my favorite tips, which is to do a brain dump, writing with pen and paper for 20 minutes four days in a row to release all that is stuck in your brain so you can sleep and have better mental health

I made this song when my sweet little girl was about one year-old and it is so fun to hear harmony with it so sing along if you want. My wife sings beautiful harmony with me when I sing this song. My son‘s a little jealous cause he doesn’t have a song. I made a verse for him, but he said he wants his own song. Enjoy an original and hopefully it gets you singing.

This is very similar to what I talk about in my up-and-coming book called “Eat Like a Bear Not Like a Pig.” Bears eat what is in season and they eat only what grows locally. They eat one food at a time and they’re a very healthy animal. We would do well to follow their example. We would also do well to follow the example of our ancestors who ate in the same manner.

This movie made me cry. It hit close to home and squeezed out my emotions. Enjoy my headphones karaoke. Something my little family does on roadtrips. Someone gets the headphones, listens to the vocals and instrumental of a song sings a ca****la for the rest of us and it’s pretty funny sometimes. normally we don’t cheat and have the words which makes it even better. Sing along if you would like. It’s good for mental and physical health.

The kids and I went to The gathering of the people at Fort Apache near White River and we went to the museum and I saw this and I thought, yes! They need to Eat Like a Bear. Local foods. In season. Simple as that.
