🚨 Mental Health Myth Busters 🚨

Somewhere out there, mental health myths are multiplying faster than unmatched socks in the dryer… so let’s clear a few things up. 😄

✅ Myth: “You need a referral to start counseling or change counselors.”
Truth: Nope! You can contact us directly to schedule an appointment.

✅ Myth: “If my insurance doesn’t cover counseling, I’m out of luck.”
Truth: We accept most major insurance plans, and as a Region 1 Network provider, many individuals without insurance may qualify for free or reduced-cost services.

✅ Myth: “If my therapist isn’t the right fit, I just have to stick with it.”
Truth: Finding the right therapist matters. If something isn’t working, we encourage you to talk with your therapist. And if you decide another provider is a better fit, that’s absolutely your choice. Your mental health journey belongs to you.

At Karuna Counseling, we believe that getting help shouldn’t be confusing. If you ever have questions about starting services, insurance, or your options, just reach out. We’re always happy to help point you in the right direction—even if that direction isn’t us. ❤️

🌿 Provider Announcement 🌿

We are excited to share that Amber Adamson, PLMHP, is now actively accepting clients and will be providing counseling services to individuals across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, and adults.

Amber brings a strong foundation of training, compassion, and dedication to her work with clients. Her journey has been marked by significant learning and professional growth, and she is passionate about supporting individuals through life’s challenges and transitions.

She is also especially excited to offer school-based counseling services, allowing students to receive support during the school day in a familiar and accessible environment without requiring parents to miss work.

We are thrilled to announce that Amy Langford will soon be providing services from our office space at Karuna Counseling!

This partnership helps expand access to mental health care within our community by offering clients additional support for medication management—all in a comfortable and familiar setting.

At Karuna Counseling, we believe that mental health care is most effective when providers work together to support the whole person. We are excited about the opportunity to enhance the continuum of care available to those we serve.
