💜 Today, September 1st, is the LAST DAY to reserve your seat for the Pittsburgh Recovery Walk!

Open Rhodes 2 Recovery is excited to bring members of our recovery community together for the Pittsburgh Recovery Walk on September 12th! AICDAC is generously funding transportation, and we want to fill that van with people ready to walk together in support of recovery, hope, healing, and community. 💜

🙌 ALL are welcome! Whether you're a member of the RCO, connected with the SCA, Twin Lakes, UPMC, or simply part of our recovery community — we'd love to have you join us!

🚌 Transportation is available, but space is limited!
📅 Sign-up deadline: TODAY — September 1st
📍 Departure time and location will be provided to everyone registered once details are finalized.

Our September calendar is here, and we have a full month of opportunities to connect, build skills, find support, and celebrate recovery together!

✨ Throughout the month at OR2R:
• Life Skills with Jenn — Monday through Friday
• SMART Recovery
• SMART Recovery Friends & Family
• Advanced & Community Art Groups 🎨
• Guys Club
• Bible Study & Come As U R Ministries
• Member lunches, peer support, drop-in services & more!

📍 September 5: Join us at Caddie Shak from 4–6 PM for UPMC’s September Recovery Event! Fun cards are provided for two hours of activities, and ALL are welcome! Limited transportation is available.

💜 September 12: We’re heading to the Pittsburgh Recovery Walk! AICDAC is generously funding transportation so members of our recovery community can attend together. Seats are limited — sign up by September 1st by calling, messaging, or stopping into OR2R.

Please note that SMART Recovery Family & Friends will NOT meet today - Saturday, August 29th.

Instead, we’ll be spending the evening with our recovery community at the 3rd Annual Recovery Walk to Overdose Awareness — and we’d love for you to join us! 💜👟

This event is an opportunity to celebrate recovery, support those on their recovery journey, raise awareness, reduce stigma, and remember the lives we have lost to overdose. 🕯️

Today, our community comes together for the 3rd Annual Recovery Walk to Overdose Awareness, and we are incredibly grateful and honored that Open Rhodes 2 Recovery has been selected as the recipient of this year’s walk.

We want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to Crossroads, UPMC Western Behavioral Health at Twin Lakes, Central Outreach Wellness Center, Peerstar of PA, Somerset Single County Authority for Drug & Alcohol, Come As UR Ministries, and everyone involved in sponsoring, organizing, and supporting this event. Your commitment to recovery, overdose awareness, and our community makes events like this possible.

Being chosen as this year’s recipient means so much to OR2R. 💜 Your support allows us to continue meeting people where they are, providing resources, building connections, reducing stigma, and reminding individuals and families that recovery is possible and no one has to walk this journey alone.

We hope you’ll join us tonight as we walk for those in recovery, walk for those still struggling, walk alongside the families who love them, and walk in remembrance of those we have lost. 🕯️

💜 Recovery Happens. Remembrance Matters. Awareness Saves Lives.

Tomorrow, our community will come together for the 3rd Annual Recovery Walk to Overdose Awareness — an evening dedicated to supporting those walking the path of recovery, remembering the lives lost to addiction, and reminding families that they are not alone.

Overdose awareness is about more than statistics. Behind every number is a person, a family, a friend, and a story. Events like this give us the opportunity to break down stigma, start important conversations, honor those we have lost, and celebrate the strength and courage of those living in recovery. 🕯️

Recovery walks are also a powerful reminder of what can happen when a community shows up together. Every person who walks helps make recovery more visible, helps spread hope, and sends the message that recovery is possible and worth supporting. 💜

We encourage our OR2R members, families, friends, community partners, and supporters to join us tomorrow evening!
