ABOUT
Indian Creek Foundation provides necessary services to 1300 individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities and Autism. COMPANY OVERVIEW
Founded in 1975, Indian Creek Foundation's mission is to provide opportunities for children and adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities and autism to live in and enrich the community throughout their lives. Through three departments o

ffering residential and community based, vocational, and behavioral health services; the Foundation continues to grow and meet the changing needs of the surrounding community. Behavioral Health Services
Indian Creek Foundation's Behavioral Health Services department provides support to children and adults who have an intellectual or developmental disability. Specialized services are also available for individuals with as Autism Spectrum Disorder or with a dual diagnosis of an intellectual or developmental disability and a mental health challenge. Residential and Community Based Services
A continuum of individualized services are offered to support people in exploring their place in the community. Twenty-four a day care is provided in homes throughout the area. Services include medication management and administration, transportation, personal care, goal-setting and engagement in community activities. This department also provides long and short-term supports to children and adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities, who live with their families and in the community. Services are designed to promote independence, to provide training and assistance to family members and to create connections to services within the community. Day Services
Skill training, volunteer opportunities and day program options are provided for adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Residents of Indian Creek Foundation and other adults in the community are offered a variety of support options. The majority of our consumers receive Medicare and most of our funding comes from the reimbursements for service. Programs and services are also supported by funds from donations, grants, and special events.

We had a great day at this year's Sporting Clays. We had almost 200 attendees breaking clay targets on a beautiful sunny day. We enjoyed a continental breakfast and a delicious BBQ lunch in addition to many raffle prizes. If you came, we hope you had fun and will enjoy these photos. If you couldn't make it, we hope you can join us next year!

Family involvement is a very important part of our mission at Indian Creek. All of the individuals we serve, whether itโ€™s kids in our Behavioral Health programs, adult residents in our group homes, or individuals who participate in our Day Program, have families who matter. For some people, we are the primary family. For others, parents and siblings have become extended family to entire households.

One thing we truly enjoy about the Roll Stroll & Run is that it unites all of our families around the mission we hold dear. Parents get to connect with other parents, residents get to meet the spouses and children of our staff, and many other connections are made on this day.

If you check out our blog, youโ€™ll see several inspiring stories about family involvement at Indian Creek Foundation. The Delp Familyโ€™s story is a great example. Check it out, and then keep reading to see how important families are to all of us: https://indcreek.org/delp/

At Indian Creek Foundation (ICF) , every voice matters.
CEO Dr. Tim Barksdale is proud to announce the launch of two new employee leadership committees designed to strengthen staff representation and ensure employees have meaningful input into the decisions, policies, and practices of ICF.
The Wisdom Council, made up of team members with more than 25 years of service, will review ideas and comments submitted through electronic and physical suggestion boxes.
The Pathfinders, employees with over 5 years of service who are elected by peers from departments across ICF, will meet quarterly to discuss concerns, identify solutions, and bring recommendations directly to the CEO. Outcomes and resulting changes in policies and practices will then be shared during quarterly town hall meetings.
Dr. Barksdale is also working closely with the Trauma Informed Care Committee to launch the Our Voices Circle, a self-advocacy group made up of people receiving services who will meet quarterly with leadership to advocate for themselves and their peers.

Together, we are building a stronger culture of listening, collaboration, inclusion, and shared leadership.
