A quick heads up for practice leaders and medical coders: the CMS has released its updated list of ICD-10 codes for fiscal year 2027, and they go into effect October 1 of this year. "With less than three months until the effective date, practices should start mapping the changes to their own code utilization now," writes Physicians Practice Managing Editor Keith Reynolds. The CMS has added 238 new codes, revised four codes, and deleted 21.
