The Bras for a Cause committee is hosting an event next Wednesday, June 17, at The Peacock Lounge and Grille in Arnolds Park! This fun-filled evening celebrates cancer survivors while raising funds to support the life-changing services provided by Abben Cancer Center.

Enjoy a Survivor Dinner & Presentation from 5–7 PM, followed by a Live & Silent Auction and Dueling Piano Duos from 7–10 PM.

Last year, this event raised over $25,000 for local cancer care. Every dollar raised helps Abben Cancer Center continue providing compassionate care, support services, education, and resources close to home for individuals and families facing cancer.

Don't miss your chance to win an Electra Townie Go SE-Bike, Raffle tickets are available for $20 each or 3 for $50.

Supporting Survivors. Finding Strength Together. 🎗

At Abben Cancer Center, we believe that cancer care is about so much more than just receiving treatment. We're here to support you and your loved ones every step of the way! Our goal is to provide compassionate care, helpful resources, emotional support, and opportunities for you to connect with others who truly understand what you're going through.

Our support groups are a warm and welcoming space where cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers can come together to share stories, discuss challenges, celebrate milestones, and uplift one another.

We'd love for you to join us at our upcoming support groups! Our Monthly Cancer Support Group is gathering next on Monday, June 15, at 6:30 PM here at Abben Cancer Center. Plus, we have a Breast Cancer Support Group that meets every other month, with the next get-together on Wednesday, August 5, at 5:30 PM in the Spencer Hospital Women's Center.

Whether you're newly diagnosed, currently undergoing treatment, living as a survivor, or supporting a loved one, you are warmly invited to come. Together, we can build connections, share hope, and remind each other that no one has to face cancer alone.

Spencer Hospital’s Occupational and Speech Therapists are certified in LSVT BIG® and LSVT LOUD®, specialized therapy programs designed to help individuals manage the long-term effects of Parkinson’s disease. Both evidence-based programs include four therapy sessions per week for four weeks, along with personalized exercises to complete during and after treatment. By focusing on bigger movements and stronger voices, LSVT BIG and LSVT LOUD help patients maintain independence and improve daily function.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated and participated in Wednesday’s Garden of Life fundraiser. Together, we raised over $10,000 to support Hospice services and other meaningful areas chosen by our donors.

Hospice care provides comfort, compassion, and support when patients and families need it most. We are incredibly grateful for Avera@Home of Spencer Hospital's dedicated team who serves our community with such care.

This summer, we’ll watch the flowers bloom in memory and honor of loved ones, serving as a beautiful reminder of the generosity and love shared through this event. Thank you for helping make a difference.
