Empowering People empowers, inspires and dignifies caregivers through education. Providing excellent nurse delegation services and caregiver training, we help home care aids and care-facility owners and managers deliver exceptional residential care. Our education programs give caregivers the highest quality training in the courses required by the State of Washington for home care aide certification. In our nurse delegation program, nurses teach caregivers to perform certain tasks while under the supervision of a registered nurse. Empowering People nurses work side by side with caregivers and care-facility owners to ensure our clients receive the best care possible. Empowering People (EP) Social Media Posting Policy

Want to become a Home Care Aide in Washington?

The path starts with 75 hours of required training, including fundamentals of care, hands-on skills, and specialty training in areas like dementia and mental health.

After training, you’ll submit your certificate and HCA application to the State of Washington, then complete both the written and hands-on skills portions of the exam.

Mental Health Specialty Training for Caregivers & Managers

This 8-hour course provides specialized education for caregivers and managers working with residents who have mental health needs.

The training uses Washington State-approved curriculum and is designed to help caregivers feel more prepared, confident, and informed in the care they provide.
