We closed out our summer evenings with a beautiful Jazz & Blues ensemble, led by the enchanting voice of Livvy Lee, accompanied by Dave Larsen’s talented band.

The music transformed the evening into something truly special. With a beautifully decorated setting, delicious food, and the perfect atmosphere for a classy night at the club, it was another wonderful example of the experience you can find at South Hill Village. 🌿🎶🍽️

At South Hill Village, we like to think of ourselves as more than a senior living community, we’re an all-inclusive resort! From live entertainment and incredible dining to outings, activities, friendships, and meaningful experiences, there is always something to look forward to.

🐾❤️ Helping Paws in Action! ❤️🐾

A few of our residents enjoyed a special outing to deliver our August collection from the Helping Paws Pet Supply Drive to SpokAnimal C.A.R.E. ! 🐶🐱

We love giving our residents opportunities to make a difference in our community while helping local pets in need. We’re so grateful for everyone who has donated so far! 🐾💕

Our Summer Concert Series 2026 continued with an incredible performance by the Soulful Brothers! Max Daniels and his band filled the evening with powerful music and once again gave us a night to remember.

With the beautiful setting under the shaded trees, delicious food, refreshing drinks, and a special table celebrating National Lemonade Day, it was the perfect summer evening!

We also said a heartfelt goodbye to our Health & Wellness Coordinator, Jamison McConnachie, as he and his family move to Bellingham to join our sister community. You will be missed, Jamison! We wish you and your family all the best!

Our make-up concert, postponed due to the August 6 wildfire, will be held Friday, August 28 at 5:30 PM.

After last week’s fires forced us to cancel one of our Summer Concert Series evenings, we were thrilled to be back on schedule with our second band, The Ronaldos! 🎶

It was a beautiful summer evening, with temperatures in the mid-80s, a gentle breeze, and clear skies—the perfect setting for an evening of music and community. The Ronaldos had the crowd smiling, tapping their toes, and enjoying every moment of their enchanting performance.

Our kitchen prepared a wonderful display of delicious food, while the beautiful décor transformed our lawn beneath the shaded trees into the perfect outdoor venue.

Residents, families, and friends gathered together to enjoy great music, delicious food, and an unforgettable summer evening at South Hill Village.

We are so happy to have our Summer Concert Series back on track and look forward to our next performance on August 20, 6pm with Nu Jack City Come join the festivities! ❤️🎶

🐾❤️ Yesterday afternoon, our team loaded up the bus with all of the Helping Paws pet supply donations collected during the month of July and brought several of our residents to Spokanimal to personally hand-deliver everything they had helped collect. They were also excited to deliver the homemade pumpkin peanut butter dog treats they baked together earlier this week!

We hope these donations help provide comfort to dogs and cats displaced by the recent Spokane area fires while supporting the incredible team at SpokAnimal C.A.R.E. as they care for animals in need. Thank you to everyone who donated to our Helping Paws drive. Your generosity is making a difference—one paw at a time! 🐶🐱💙

We’re still accepting pet supply donations through September 30, so there’s still plenty of time to help! Donations can be dropped off in our Helping Paws collection bins at South Hill Village. Every donation, big or small, helps support dogs and cats in need.

🐾🐶 National Work Like a Dog Day at ! 🐶🐾

Our residents and staff rolled up their sleeves and got to work baking homemade dog treats! 🦴❤️ Using just 100% pumpkin puree, xylitol-free peanut butter, eggs, and whole wheat flour, we baked, packed, and prepared a special batch of treats for some very deserving pups.

Tomorrow, we’ll deliver these homemade goodies along with all of the Helping Paws pet supply donations our community has collected since July to SpokAnimal C.A.R.E.🐕🐾 These donations will help provide much-needed support to animals in our community, including pets displaced by the fires here in Spokane.

We love seeing our residents turn a fun, hands-on activity into a meaningful opportunity to Connect, Move & Learn — while giving back to our community and helping animals in need. 💕🐾

Summer Concert Cancellation Notice

Due to the devastating fires and hazardous air quality affecting our area, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our Summer Concert scheduled for Thursday, August 6.

Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who has lost their homes, those who have been evacuated, and the brave first responders working tirelessly to protect our communities.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. We hope to reschedule this concert in the near future and will share the new date as soon as it is confirmed.

We are very hopeful that conditions will improve, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back for our next Summer Concert on Thursday, August 13. We hope to see you there for an evening of great music and community.

Spareparts kicked off our annual "Summer Concert Series" last night with an incredible performance!

We love continuing this South Hill Village tradition by welcoming our residents, families, and friends for an evening of live music on the lawn under the shade of our beautiful trees. The weather couldn't have been more perfect, the smoke had cleared, temperatures were comfortable, and everyone enjoyed a wonderful summer evening together.

Our Life Enrichment Director, Carine, created a beautiful outdoor setting that welcomed guests with elegance and charm, while our talented chef, Michelle, delighted everyone with a selection of delicious treats that showcased the exceptional dining experience South Hill Village is known for.

Join us again next Thursday as we welcome David Larsen's Band featuring Olivia Tracy, bringing an evening of outstanding jazz and blues. We look forward to another memorable concert under the summer sky!

South Hill Village was delighted to host its very first "Meet the Author" event featuring local author, Elena Hartwell-Taylor.

Elena holds a special place in our community. Not only is her mother, Sherry, a beloved resident at South Hill Village, but Elena has also enriched the lives of our residents through several unique experiences, most recently introducing the delightful Harmony Beverage Donkeys alongside her friend, Lydia.

A talented published author with several novels to her name, Elena captivated residents as she shared her journey into writing. She spoke about how her career began, where she finds inspiration, and the extensive research that goes into creating her stories. She explained how each book and series comes to life through the places she has traveled, the people she has met, and even stories she has discovered in the news.

In addition to being an accomplished author, Elena also manages a horse ranch, balancing a busy life between caring for her horses and continuing to write new adventures for her readers.

Residents thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to hear firsthand about Elena's creative process, ask questions, and learn what it takes to bring a story from imagination to the printed page. It was an inspiring afternoon, and we look forward to welcoming more authors to South Hill Village in the future.

South Hill Village hosted its very first themed luncheon, and what a wonderful way to begin this new tradition! Our inaugural theme transported everyone to the islands with a festive Luau celebration.

The dining room was beautifully transformed with colorful tropical décor. The incredible island-inspired buffet that delighted everyone in attendance.

We look forward to many more fun themed celebrations at South Hill Village with our residents, families and friends participating in the festivities!
