Today we sent our residents to Green Bluff for a new event they are hosting - Stuffed on the Bluff! They enjoyed live music, an assorted amount of local food venders, and some light shopping.

Today our General Manager Michelle took our residents for a taste of Brazil. With some help from our cooks, they made two very good dishes. One dish was called Pao de queijo - a warm, chewy cheese bread. The second one was called Coxinha- a crispy chicken filled croquette. We got to top it off with some Brazilian lemonade. Everybody enjoyed hearing fun facts about Brazil and eating some yummy Brazilian appetizers.

Yesterday, we celebrated our annual Luau, and what an amazing time it was! The festivities began with a Hawaiian-themed Happy Hour featuring fun treats and tropical drink specials, setting the tone for a wonderful evening.

Guests then enjoyed a delicious Hawaiian buffet prepared by our talented culinary team. A special thank you goes to our Head Chef, Amy, whose stunning fruit display was truly a masterpiece and the centerpiece of an incredible dinner spread. We would also like to recognize our amazing baker, Esma, for creating a variety of delicious Hawaiian-inspired desserts that were enjoyed by all.

We wrapped up the night with an entertaining performance by hula dancers, who put on a fantastic show and brought the spirit of the islands to Fairwinds.

Today, we had the honor of delivering all of the school supplies that our residents and employees have been collecting throughout the month for the students and families of Willard Elementary School.

The staff at Willard Elementary were incredibly grateful for the donations and expressed how much this support will mean to the children and families they serve. We were honored to partner with their school and give back in a meaningful way.

Thank you to everyone who donated supplies, contributed their time, and helped make this drive such a success. Together, we made a positive difference in our community, and we are proud of the compassion and generosity shown by the Fairwinds Spokane family. ❤️📚✏️

World Flavors at Fairwinds Spokane

This week, we've been taking our residents on a culinary journey around the world by preparing and sampling dishes from different cultures and regions. So far, we've enjoyed a Taste of Greece and a Taste of Baghdad, giving residents the opportunity to try new foods and experience flavors they may never have tasted before.

The residents truly enjoyed exploring new flavors, learning about different cultures, and connecting with our staff in a meaningful way. It has been a wonderful reminder of how food can bring people together and help us appreciate the rich diversity of the world around us. 🌍🍽️✨
