๐ฅ Fire Resource Update for Our Community โค๏ธ
For those impacted by the wildfires, here are a few important resources currently available:
๐ Emergency Shelters: The American Red Cross is providing shelter, meals, and emergency assistance for evacuees. You can find the nearest open shelter by going to redcross.org or by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767). The Spokane Convention Center is also serving as an evacuation shelter, and pets are welcome.
๐พ Help for Evacuated Animals: The Spokane County Fairgrounds (404 N. Havana St.) is accepting displaced animals and RVs with animals. Enter through the Red Gate off Broadway.
๐ Support for Pets in Need: SpokAnimal is caring for displaced pets and is currently accepting donations of dog food, cat food, blankets, towels, and monetary donations to support animals affected by the fires.
Need a Medication Refill? If your regular veterinary clinic is temporarily closed due to the fires, the doctors at Pet Emergency Clinic are happy to help bridge the gap by filling maintenance medications whenever possible. To do so, we'll need approval from your regular veterinarian. We ask that your primary veterinary clinic email us confirming your pet has been examined by one of their veterinarians within the past six months and authorizing the refill request.
PLEASE SHARE THIS POST TO ANYONE WHO MAY NEED IT.
Our hearts are with everyone affected by these fires, and we're committed to helping both our community and their pets however we can. Stay safe, Spokane. โค๏ธ๐พ
