This technique includes trigger point pressure, stretching, and mobility assessments. Neuromuscular therapy treats the nerve signals in the muscles. When injury, trauma, postural distortion or stress affect the nerves in the muscles- pain and dysfunction take over and affects the body

’s balance. Using static pressure on specific muscles, tendons, and connective tissue disrupts the nerve messages and restores balance to the body and reduces pain. Treatment is planned specifically to the source of the pain described by the client and mobility assessments help narrow down which muscle is causing pain and dysfunction.

Sooooo about that. Licensed massage therapists are just that, massage therapists. We don’t get mad when you call us masseuses or masseurs, most people don’t know that it’s considered a derogatory term in our field. So now you know!

Massage therapist: A licensed professional healthcare worker.
Masseuse/masseur: A sex worker in a “massage parlor”. A very different kind of professional and often the victim of human/sex trafficking.
