Hello, friends!

I'm excited to announce a new resource that I would love to bring to your congregation: The Marriage [hard] Workshop.

Let's be honest—marriage is wonderful... and sometimes it's hard. The goal isn't to have a perfect marriage; it's to become a healthier spouse. It would be much easier if our spouse simply changed to become the person we wanted them to be. But lasting change in a marriage often begins with one's self. The hard work of marriage is recognizing our own vulnerabilities, gaining a deeper understanding of ourselves, and allowing that growth to strengthen our relationship.

By hosting this workshop, your church can invest in the health of the marriages within your congregation while opening the door to meaningful connections with couples throughout your community.

This workshop consists of five interactive, one-hour(ish) sessions designed to help participants better understand themselves, strengthen communication, establish healthy boundaries, and build a stronger, Christ-centered marriage through reflection, discussion, and practical application.

This workshop is perfect for:
❤️ Engaged couples preparing for marriage
💍 Newlyweds building a strong foundation
🏡 Couples who have settled into the routine of marriage and want to reconnect and grow

Marriage doesn't become stronger by accident—it grows through intentional investment.

If your church is interested in hosting a Marriage [hard] Workshop, I'd love to connect with you and discuss how we can encourage and equip couples in your congregation.

Send me a message for more information. Call by July 31, 2026 for special pricing. 417.413.3193

Trauma has become a common word anymore. Some may think it is overused and has lost its credibility. But trauma is real and relevant to every person. Trauma happens when our system is overwhelmed because we may not have the experience and/or education to cope with a sudden event. These traumatic events can occur for any number of reasons, but most often when the following occur: Frightened, Under threat, Humiliated, Rejected, Abandoned, Invalidated, Unsafe, Unsupported, Trapped, Ashamed, Powerless.
This trauma may have occurred in early childhood or it could have happened yesterday. EMDR is a safe and evidence-based therapy that helps your brain process difficult experiences so they feel less overwhelming and more resolved.

Couples therapy is often not covered by insurance plans. However, some churches and faith communities may offer financial assistance for their members seeking counseling. I encourage clients to explore those options if applicable.
