“It just looks like they’re playing…”
But during occupational therapy, there’s SO much more happening beneath the surface. ✨
While your child is climbing, swinging, stacking blocks, or playing a game, we may actually be working on:
• core strength
• coordination
• motor planning
• sensory processing
• emotional regulation
• hand strength
• attention and focus
• independence in everyday skills
Play is how children learn best.
And when therapy feels fun, kids are often more motivated, engaged, and successful.
What may look simple from the outside is often carefully designed to help a child build the foundational skills they need for everyday life. 💛
Because for kids… play is powerful.
Save this post if you’ve ever wondered what OT is *really* working on during sessions.
