I get a lot of questions from moms about what is the “best” exercise for them. Questions like “should I be powerlifting?” “Should I be doing HIIT?” “Should I get a weighted vest?” And while we could talk all day everyday about the benefits of different types of exercise and what is *optimal* for your body at your stage of life, the ultimate truth is this:
Exercise is only beneficial if you *actually* do the damn thing.
So if trying to do the “perfect,” “best” exercise ends up holding you back from doing any exercise at all, then it isn’t the best exercise for you right now.
Instead of focusing on what the algorithm is marketing to you, ask yourself this:
What kind of movement do I enjoy?
What kind of exercise will I do consistently?
What kind of routines can I build that support my movement goals?
Because something is always better than nothing.
Consistency is always better than perfection.
And exercise only makes a difference if you actually do it.
If you’re struggling to return to exercise postpartum, let’s connect! You don’t have to do this alone ❤️
