Cedarhurst Senior Living

Cedarhurst Senior Living We believe our communities are more than just a place to live, they are a place to call home.

At Cedarhurst, we believe our communities are more than just a place to live, it’s a place to call home. We know and believe that a real home isn’t just four walls and a place to hang your hat. Home is a place where friends and family gather, a place to entertain and share stories, a place for baking, playing games, gardening, exercising and most importantly -a place to thrive! Cedarhurst believes in supporting a strong local community and encouraging our residents to stay involved with the community through events, outings and activities. We help build strong family relationships before, during and after the transition by offering support and including the family members in our care plans. Most of all, Cedarhurst is able to help you maintain your independence while offering safety, support and a more carefree lifestyle.

Earlier this month, Francis was honored for his service as a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and Purple Heart recipient. His story is one of courage and sacrifice.

Francis enlisted in 1963 and deployed to Vietnam with his unit in 1965. He was wounded in combat that December but completed his service as a Sergeant. A local veteran's organization gathered to present him with a commemorative plaque—his family and members of the Cedarhurst community surrounded him to recognize the weight of his sacrifice.

Moments like this show what community really looks like. Thank you, Francis, for your service to our country.

Picture it: a sunny afternoon, a room full of anticipation, and the young dancers of the Iasasthai Ballet Summer Intensive taking their positions at Cedarhurst of Beaumont. What followed was pure magic. Residents didn't want it to end.

This is the kind of afternoon that keeps a smile on your face all day.

Meet Andrew Fish, Cedarhurst's Corporate Director of Environmental Services. He oversees the upkeep, safety, and behind-the-scenes maintenance that keep the Cedarhurst communities running smoothly.

If you're an older adult living at home, here's an important safety reminder from Andrew: Check your smoke and fire detectors regularly. Working detectors can save lives, so test them monthly and replace batteries twice a year. Because climbing ladders can be dangerous, don't tackle it yourself—call a family member or trusted professional for help.

One of the many benefits of life at Cedarhurst? You never have to worry about fire safety maintenance or equipment upkeep. Our team handles all the testing, inspections, and replacements, so you can have peace of mind knowing your space is protected.

Stella isn't sure her grandmother will remember her. She visits anyway—bringing cookies, dolls, and stories about blooming peonies.

That's the heart of The Memory Garden, a new children's book written by Candice Stonebraker, Director of Sales at Cedarhurst of Ft. Wayne, Candice wrote the book to help children and family members feel more at ease during visits with someone facing dementia or Alzheimer's—and to remind them that love stays, even when memory fades.
