The colors were 🔊loud🔊, the lights were 🚨flashing🚨, and there were more than a few 😊smiles😊 to go around as we celebrated our amazing Assisted Living neighborhood ❤️🤍❤️🤍

We had a bunch of fun at the Great Forest Park Balloon Race again this year! It's amazing seeing how the balloons work up close and nothing beats seeing that FV logo in the St. Louis skyline!! ⛅🪂

Welcome back, travelers! Our residents just returned yesterday from an incredible trip to Yosemite National Park out west 🏔️ 🥾

The weather was beautiful and the views were breathtaking, not to mention the fun we had experiencing it all together!

As our President and CEO Terry Walsh says, FV is a LIVING community - and we did a whole lot of it this past week!

As has become tradition at Friendship Village, we spent this morning in remembrance of the 9/11 tragedy by packing meals at Chaifetz Arena in partnership with 9/11 Day.

In total, our staff was part of a group that packed over 272,000 meals that the St. Louis Area Foodbank will distribute across the region, with a total of more than 437,000 meals to be completed by the end of the day. If you’d like to learn more, a link to 9/11 Day’s website is below.

Tomorrow is an important day of remembrance: the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on 9/11.

We are particularly grateful today that Fenton Fire Dist. Assistant Chief Chris McCarthy was able to stop by and share his story with us. Chris was one of 63 First Responders with Missouri Task Force One flown to New York to assist in the search and rescue at Ground Zero. They were on site for eleven days.

Our thoughts dwell on all those effected by the tragedy of that day, and our appreciation for the bravery and valor shown by our First Responders is endless. We will NEVER forget. 🇺🇸
