☀️ Polarized ≠ UV Protection — here's what that means for your eyes.
Most people assume polarized lenses protect against UV rays. They don't — at least not automatically.
Polarized lenses reduce glare (great for driving and water). UV protection blocks the ultraviolet rays that cause cataracts, macular degeneration, and photokeratitis — essentially a sunburn on your eye.
You can have one without the other. And cheap sunglasses with dark lenses can actually be worse than wearing nothing — your pupils dilate in the shade, letting in more unfiltered UV.
What to look for: 100% UV400 protection, regardless of whether the lens is polarized.

Looking for a quality pair? We have a frame sale running all of June that includes prescription sunglasses. It's a great time to upgrade! 😎

Wondering what it actually looks like to get an OptiLight treatment? Here's what a typical visit looks like 👇
✅ You arrive — no special prep needed
✅ We apply a thin layer of cooling gel around your eyes
✅ Protective eye shields are placed to keep your eyes safe
✅ The treatment is delivered — gentle, warm, and comfortable
✅ The whole thing takes about 15 minutes
✅ You walk out the door and go right back to your day — no downtime at all
Most patients describe it as relaxing. Many are surprised by how simple and comfortable it is. And the results? Most people notice meaningful improvement after just two or three sessions.
If you've been putting off getting help for dry eyes because you were worried about what treatment might involve — we hope this puts your mind at ease. 😊 Call or text (920) 743-5053 to schedule a consultation.

Eye care that also makes you look refreshed? Yes, really. ✨
Our new OptiLift treatment by Lumenis was designed primarily to improve eyelid function and reduce dry eye symptoms — but patients consistently notice something else too. The radiofrequency energy used in the treatment stimulates collagen production, which tightens and tones the skin around the lower eyelids.
The result? Eyes that feel better AND look more lifted, refreshed, and youthful — without surgery, without needles, and without any downtime.
If you've been curious about a non-invasive way to refresh the appearance of your eyes while also supporting your eye health, OptiLift might be exactly what you've been looking for.
Give us a call or text at (920) 743-5053 to find out if you're a candidate. 💙
