Tip of the month 💬

Every child learns at their own pace, and growth in speech and language isn’t always linear. Some children make noticeable gains in just a few weeks, while for others, meaningful progress may take months. Both journeys are completely valid.

The most important ingredient in success is consistency. Attending therapy regularly, practicing strategies at home, and creating opportunities for communication in everyday routines all add up over time.

Remember, not every milestone is a big one. A new sound, an extra word, better eye contact, following a new direction, or attempting a longer sentence are all signs of progress worth celebrating.

Trust the process, stay patient, and keep showing up. Those small wins today often become the big breakthroughs tomorrow.

With AI becoming part of everyday life, it's important to remember one thing: children learn language through people, not just information.

Speech and language develop through conversations, play, eye contact, shared experiences, and meaningful interactions. While technology can be a helpful tool, it cannot replace the connection that happens when a child is engaged with a parent, caregiver, teacher, or therapist.

The most powerful language-building moments often happen during everyday routines, story time, car rides, and play.

Your voice matters. Your interaction matters. And those small moments add up to something big. 💗

Communication is not just about producing sounds or knowing words. It also involves planning, shifting attention, regulating emotions, initiating interactions, and monitoring responses in real time. These foundational skills help children participate in conversations, tell stories, problem solve, and connect with others.

Entrepreneurship is freedom… but somehow the “behind-the-scenes” includes answering emails, creating schedules, writing reports, reviewing evaluations, managing billing, interviewing therapists, coordinating with schools, ordering supplies, updating social media, and wearing about 20 different hats before the day is done.

And then in between all of that, I get to do the part I love most—treating children and watching them grow. 💗

Wouldn’t trade this journey for anything.
