🚑🤝 Today was a true testament to the strength of regional EMS cooperation.
Today our crews responded to 8 calls, with the majority occurring after 12:00 PM. As call volume continued to increase, our mutual aid partners at Lehighton Ambulance and Penn Mahoning Ambulance stepped in to help ensure our communities continued to receive the timely emergency care they deserve. 🚨
To cap off a busy day, our crews responded alongside Ryan Township EMS to a call in Rush Township that ultimately resulted in the first utilization of an incredible new resource in our region—a blood product response from Lehigh Valley Health Network EMS. 🩸
At the very same time, our BLS unit, assisted by Lehighton Ambulance Association, was caring for a patient in Tamaqua experiencing a life-threatening emergency who required air medical transport.
Today, the EMS system in Eastern Schuylkill County was firing on all cylinders. Multiple agencies worked seamlessly together, sharing resources and supporting one another to provide the highest level of care possible to our residents and visitors.
We are forever grateful for the partnership, professionalism, and dedication displayed by our mutual aid partners at LVHN EMS, Lehighton Ambulance, Penn Mahoning Ambulance Association, and Ryan Township Emergency & Rescue Squad. Thank you for always answering the call when our communities need it most.
💙🚑 Together, we are stronger. Together, we save lives.
