👏 From needing significant assistance to making incredible strides toward independence!
When Teresa Adams arrived at Edgecombe Health Center following a fall that resulted in a left humerus fracture, she faced significant challenges with mobility and daily activities. After a little over 30 days of dedicated PT and OT services, Teresa made remarkable progress. 🩵
She progressed from requiring assistance with bed mobility, transfers, bathing, dressing, toileting, and eating to completing many of these daily tasks independently or with minimal support. She also progressed to independently propelling her wheelchair, completing functional transfers with supervision, and walking short distances with a hemi-walker and contact-guard assistance.
Teresa’s determination and hard work, combined with the dedication of her therapy team, helped her regain greater strength, mobility, and independence.
