Happy Friday from Summit Community Counseling.
As July ends, we want to send a simple reminder into the community:
You do not have to wait for a crisis to ask for support.
You can reach out when life feels heavier than usual. When stress has been building. When anxiety is taking up too much space. When depression makes everyday life feel harder. When grief, burnout, trauma, relationship strain, family stress, emotional overwhelm, or a major life transition has left you feeling less like yourself.
Therapy can help people breathe again.
It can help with coping skills, emotional regulation, healing, clarity, personal improvement, stronger relationships, and steadier days. It can be a place to sort through what has felt confusing, painful, or too much to carry alone.
And sometimes, support begins because someone else cares enough to notice.
A family member encourages a call.
A friend sends a message.
A school helps connect a student or parent to care.
A provider, employer, referral partner, or community organization helps someone find the next right step.
Those moments matter.
Summit Community Counseling is currently welcoming new clients and referrals and has therapy openings available.
If you have been thinking about therapy, this may be a good time to reach out. If someone you care about seems overwhelmed, withdrawn, exhausted, discouraged, or unlike themselves, your encouragement may help them begin.
This summer, let’s keep checking in, showing up, and reminding one another that support is available.
