💙 Celebrating Tammie and 40+ Years of Dedicated Nursing 💙
After more than 40 years devoted to the nursing profession—including more than 5 years here at our hospital—we are celebrating Tammie as she begins a well-deserved new chapter.

Throughout her time with us, Tammie has made a lasting difference in the lives of countless patients and families. She has been a compassionate caregiver, a trusted colleague, and a generous source of knowledge and experience for those around her. Her dedication to nursing and commitment to those she served have left an impact that will not be forgotten.

At Harsha Behavioral Center, we believe that every person deserves to feel heard, supported, and valued.

Su***de can affect individuals and families from every walk of life. This month, we encourage our community to break the silence, start conversations, and reach out when someone may be struggling.

Sometimes, simply asking “How are you really doing?” can open the door to hope.

If you’re struggling, you don’t have to face it alone. Please reach out to someone you trust or connect with a mental health professional. Help is available, and recovery is possible.

Celebrating 18 Years of Harsha Behavioral Center
As we celebrate our 18-year anniversary, we reflect on the journey that has shaped who we are today and the meaningful impact we have made in inpatient behavioral health. Throughout the years, our dedicated CMO, Dr. Harshawat, and CEO, Roopam Harshawat, have remained deeply committed to our hospital, our staff, and the communities we serve.
Through strong employee engagement, community involvement, and a spirit of public service, Harsha Behavioral Center has built a foundation of meaningful partnerships, loyalty, and trust. These relationships continue to reflect our mission of providing integrated mental health services in an ethical, safe, and nurturing environment.
Harsha Behavioral Center opened its doors in 2008 as a 36-bed inpatient hospital dedicated to serving youth ages 3–17. In 2010, we expanded our services by adding a 16-bed geriatric unit to meet the inpatient behavioral health needs of older adults.
In 2016, we reached another significant milestone with the opening of our current 81-bed, state-of-the-art campus. This expansion allowed us to broaden our ability to serve individuals and families throughout the Terre Haute community and across the state of Indiana.
For the past 18 years, we have been honored to be a part of this community. We are incredibly proud of how far we have come, grateful for the dedicated staff who have made this journey possible, and excited to continue growing and providing compassionate behavioral health care for years to come.

Today we started our weeklong celebration for our 18 year anniversary! Thank you to Two Pigs BBQ for coming out to feed all of our staff! We can’t wait to share all the fun we will have this week!
