Erin Brenna Briles Wagner, 58, passed away on Monday, June 1st, 2026.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 10, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Ryan-Parke Funeral Home in Park Ridge, Illinois

Born in Chicago the daughter of the late Clifford and Florence Ruchalski Briles. Mrs. Wagner was survived by her husband Chris, two daughters, Emma and Hannah; one sister, Cara.

It’s with deep regret and sorrow that I announce the passing of my father, James Rex Briles. The Briles Information Network was created in his honor in 1996. My dad passed this morning in Southmont, NC.

Mr. James Rex Briles, 86, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at his home in Southmont, NC.

Per Mr. Briles wishes, there will be no services.

Born, May 2, 1940 in Washington, D.C. to the late Rex & Ivy Black Briles. Growing up in Graham, NC Mr. Briles was an Eagle Scout, Order of the Arrow and an avid ham radio operator.

Mr. Briles was a US Navy Veteran, Petty Officer Second Class/CT-2, stationed in Karamürsel,Turkey and Edzell, Scotland.

In 1963, Mr. Briles met and married Catherine McGarry Cameron in Montrose, Scotland.

Mr. Briles was an Emmy Award Winning Producer and Director for WFMY Channel 2, from 1963 and retiring in 1999.

Surviving is his wife, Catherine McGarry Briles (Nee Cameron); two sons, James Rex Briles Jr. and his wife Jovanna of Winston-Salem, Rodney Trent Briles of Thomasville; Three grandchildren, Michael Trent Briles and his wife Sarah of Greensboro, Alexandria Parry and her husband Marty of Valdese, and Cameron Jewel Briles of Trinity, NC; One great grandchild, Braylin Briles of Greensboro; One sister, Ellen Machacek and her husband David of Zebulon; one brother, Kevin Garrett of Burlington.

Five generations to Nancy Briles Kindley

Donese Ann Hicks Trotter, 83, a resident of Thomasville, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026, at her home.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at 12:00 noon at Pleasant Grove UMC (8138 East Old Hwy 64, Lexington, NC), with Rev. Rick Shoemaker officiating. The family will greet friends prior to the service from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery.

She was born on May 29, 1942, in Randolph County, to her parents, the late Carl Lee Hicks and Viola Kindley Hicks.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Terry Clifton Trotter; six brothers, T.J. Hicks, L.C. Hicks, Roland Hicks, Richard Hicks, Hoyt Hicks, and Van Hicks; and three sisters, Beatrice Summey, Ruby Gallimore, and Crissy Jane Smith.

Surviving is her husband, Jimmy Trotter, of the home; three daughters, Teresa Eddinger and husband Michael, Sandi Watts and husband Tony, and Sherry Trotter; six grandchildren, Paige Trotter, Christina Gallimore, Mike Eddinger and wife Cynthia, Adam Watts, Sabrina Harmon and husband Aaron, and Leia Trotter; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Hollis Hicks and wife Elaine, David Hicks and wife Janet, and Dallas Hicks; her loving sister who always called, Julia Ruth Tharp; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Amy Lynn Briles, 69, of Asheboro, died Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Randolph Health in Asheboro.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Oaklawn Cemetery, with Rev. Robert Armstrong officiating.

Amy was born on January 2, 1957, in Randolph County, the daughter of the late Wayne Briles and Hilda Hill Briles.

In addition to her parents, Amy was preceded in death by her many aunts and uncles, including Joyce "Flossie" Hill McGee (James).

She is survived by several cousins.
