And this is why you should decline the exam…. This mama was misinformed…there is ALWAYS changes from day to day. Baby maturing, optimal position, mother softening.
She could have also been well dilated and effaced yet still not had a baby in arms for days.
Orrrrr she could have no dilation and yet still had a baby in arms within that same day.

Cervical changes happen with LABOR !!!
