Time to get started on the MICKLE+MAIN bathroom makeover! Paint job and new sink happening this week ✨️

Suds Slingin' Co. LLC has helped us out so much with this building and getting things cleaned and ready. Then there's Doug's Plumbing that has removed old sinks, installed a new one, and coming back to do another! So thankful for our small business friends 🙏❤️

So much more than our cross streets ❤️

“Many a little makes a mickle.” ✨

We recently learned the meaning behind the word mickle. An old word meaning a great amount or something large.

And the proverb “Many a little makes a mickle” means that 🌿many small things can come together to create something much bigger🌿

The more we thought about it, the more it felt like exactly what we're building here at MICKLE+MAIN.

A small business.
A small-town community.
A collection of local makers, artists, teachers, dreamers, and entrepreneurs.
Small ideas, small gatherings, small moments of connection...

All coming together to create something much bigger than any one of us could create alone ❤️

That's what we hope MICKLE+MAIN becomes, a place where little things can grow into big things, where ideas turn into opportunities, and where community comes together.

Many a little makes a mickle. And we're just getting started. ✨️

I did it 🥳 here's a little glimpse of what goes into restocking soaps. After days of making, comes days of packaging before it's out on the shelf.

Now that The Hotel 1919 is taken care of, I'll be restocking the shelves at MICKLE+MAIN to get ready for our grand opening on Sept 18th ❤️

Gotta love a good floor sit and some afternoon caffeine before the school pick up line 🤠

Things don't seem to be slowing down anytime soon, I'm just ready to have the hard work done so we can enjoy the fun stuff 💃

After I'm done with this weeks big project, next week is painting the bathroom, getting a new sink installed, hanging curtains, working on our big exterior sign, and getting all the final touches finished for the Events & Workshops room at MICKLE+MAIN. Oh, and restocking soaps, skincare items, and our herbal teas 🫠

I am so excited for our Grand Opening and keep telling myself it will be smooth sailing after that 😅 get ready to come celebrate with us!!! Sept 18th 1:30pm
