Loretta Sue Massingill, 85, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2026, in Ardmore, Oklahoma. She was born on April 28, 1941, in Amarillo, Texas, to Earl Harvey and Mattie Sue (Sims) Manion.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at the DeArman-Clark Funeral Home Chapel in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, with Fred Wells officiating.

A full obituary is being composed and will be published at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of DeArman-Clark Funeral Home.

Anaya Vanee “AJ” Johnson, 72, passed away on August 19, 2026, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born on June 4, 1954, in Denton, Texas, to Jessie Floyd and Loretta Inez (Barnett) Starnes.

AJ had an ornery streak from an early age and was known for keeping those around her on their toes. One family story that was never forgotten was the time she put her baby sister in the clothes dryer and turned it on—a childhood adventure that perfectly captured the mischievous spirit she carried with her throughout her life.

In 1984, AJ married Wesley Johnson in Whitney, Texas. Together, they shared a life filled with family, faith, and many cherished memories.

AJ was a member of Christ Independent Baptist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. Her faith and church family were an important part of her life, and some of her greatest joy came from the time she spent surrounded by the people she loved.

AJ enjoyed music concerts, dancing, bingo, crafts, camping, fishing, and going on cruises. After retirement, she took every opportunity she could to enjoy life, especially traveling, crafting, and shopping. She also knew her way around the kitchen. Her family will especially remember her green beans, mashed potatoes, and cheese balls, which were always favorites.

Carl Eugene “Bud” Brown was born on March 1, 1949. Carl was married in 1968, when he was 19, to his beautiful wife, Zelia. He would go on to join the Navy and served in the Vietnam war. After his tour was over, he would receive his first honorable discharge.

David was born to him in Rock Springs, Wyoming in 1971. Carl worked the coal mines to provide for his family. 5 years later they had another baby, Daniel. By this time the family had made their way to Hartford Arkansas where Carl provided for his family working in a furniture factory assembling baby beds. Shortly afterward he re-enlisted in a different branch of the military, the army, this time. He fulfilled his commitment and got his second honorable discharge.

Another 5 years passed, and then a bouncing baby girl, Brandi, was born in Poteau, Oklahoma. He stopped building furniture a little too early. After a short 3-year stay in Oklahoma the family made its way to New Mexico, the land of enchantment. Now the story is getting good. The whole Brown Walker family teamed up working dairies and peanut fields. Within 2 years, Darren was born for Portales, New Mexico.

Carl decided to pursue a career in education, attended 4 years of college, and obtained a bachelor’s degree in general education. It would go on to Chinle, Arizona to teach on Navajo Indian reservation, driving back home every weekend to give his family the money that he had earned.

On August 9, 2026 the world lost Allen Eugene (Gene) Richardson, a man that embraced life with integrity and kindness. He loved his family unconditionally and they loved him right back. Gene was born at home in Circle Back, Texas on July 11, 1936. He attended Sudan High School graduating with honors. He declined a West Point appointment and attended college at Texas Tech University (Guns Up) and received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Gene attended The University of Texas (Hook -em Horns) for his Masters. He served many years in the Texas National Guard. For the next several decades his professional career focused on water resource management from the Highland Lakes of Texas to the southern tip of the Colorado River. He relocated to Oklahoma in 2002 where he established his own business and continued to work until he was 85 years old. We thought he would live forever. Gene loved sports both playing and watching. He was a black-diamond snow skier, and trick water skier, played on a farm baseball team, avid golfer for many years and dabbled at tennis. His horseshoe skills were unparalleled. In later years he took up the sport of zero-turn mowing.

His parents and two sisters preceded him in death.

Barbara was born on December 16, 1944, to Evert and Gladys (Buchanan) Noel in Durant, Oklahoma. She married Danny O. Kite of Milburn, OK, and they were married for 54 years when he passed in 2019.

Barbara passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Blue River Nursing Home in Tishomingo.

Barbara loved wildlife, especially her house pets, photography, sewing, flowers, and nature. She and her husband raised large gardens for many years, sharing their abundance with many family and friends. She loved kiddos, spoiling many nieces, nephews, and grandkids.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny O. Kite; Evert Noel (Father); Gladys Williams (Mother); BL Tiny Williams (Stepfather); and Ruth Darlene Noel (Sister).

She is survived by her sister, Jaquita Morris and husband David of Durant, OK; stepchildren, Delayne, Mike, and Dianna; along with many special nieces, nephews, grands, and other family who enjoyed her laughter and fun personality. The last number of years, nieces Kathy Pfeffer and Jeannie Nell have been her advocates and made sure she had the care she required.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at DeArman-Clark Funeral Home Chapel.

Patricia "Pat" Ann Latham, 78, of Tishomingo, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, in Tishomingo. She was born on June 12, 1948, in Ada, Oklahoma, to Andrew and Emma Othella (Gravitt) Dockery.

Pat was raised in Tupelo, Oklahoma, where she developed the strong values of faith, family, and hard work that would guide her throughout her life. She met the love of her life, James Curtis Latham, and the two were united in marriage on July 21, 1967, in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. Together they built a loving home and spent many years in Ardmore before returning to Tishomingo in 2007.

Throughout her life, Pat devoted herself to caring for others. Her career as a caregiver allowed her to lovingly serve both children and the elderly, and she found great joy in making the lives of those around her brighter.

Pat had a passion for fishing, genealogy, cooking, and baking, but nothing brought her greater happiness than gathering her family around the table. Holidays and birthdays were always made special because she made sure everyone had their favorite meal or dessert waiting for them. She was well known for her delicious cornbread stuffing, homemade pecan pie, and the countless recipes she lovingly passed down through the generations. Each Christmas, she spent days making homemade candy, creating traditions and memories that her family will cherish forever.

Judy Laverene Hall, age 89, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2026.
Judy was born on November 12, 1936, in Bromide, Oklahoma, to Lunsford Morgan and Ruby Baldwin Morgan. She was born and raised in Bromide, where she learned the values of hard work, kindness, and faith that would guide her throughout her life.
In 1953, Judy married Munsy Cravatt. They remained married until his passing in 1964. In 1974, she married Don Hall, and they shared 51 wonderful years filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Judy devoted her life to being a homemaker, a role she embraced with great pride and love. Her greatest joys were her faith in God and the family she treasured so deeply. She believed in working hard, treating everyone with kindness, and always helping others whenever she could. Her gentle spirit, generous heart, and unwavering love for those around her will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Don Hall; her first husband and the father of her children, Munsy Cravatt; her parents, Lunsford and Ruby Morgan; brother Curtis Morgan, her sons, Lee Cravatt and Mathew Cravatt; and her son-in-law, Leonard Hatter.
