Happy Fall!
Happy Scorpio Season!
Happy Full Moon in Ta**us!
🍁
I love this time of year and the weather in Michigan has been blissful!
🍁
I’ve been playfully burying myself in piles of fall leaves since childhood.
And since childhood, I’ve been consciously aware of my finite seasons.
Acutely attuned to my immortality.
🍁
I’m often reminded of the traditional Sufi saying; “Die before you die”.
While initially morbid, it rather encourages us to lean in to the act of dying and letting go so order that we can remember to embrace our life more fully.
🍁
And yet, our culture excels at promoting our emotional ignorance and denial of this truth singular truth. It makes death clinical and sterile. Something to be feared, and therefore avoided at all costs.
Not contemplating death & impermanence does not protect you from death & impermanence.
Nor does buying the newest gadget, tool, supplement or program.
Chasing longevity may give you a few extra years but at what cost?
Are you deadly serious?
Avoidant?
Fearful?
🍁
I would like to believe that living life fully requires that you let go completely.
That’s super hard!
But in order to let life flow through you, you need to stop clinging to the bonds and attachments that prevent living.
🍁
Do this and you are likely to become much more present.
Grateful for your current lived experience.
More joyful. More grateful.
Less fearful.
🍁
Gently acknowledge your immortality.
And see how it changes you.
What outdated situations, relationships, ideas, concepts, or versions of yourself would you willingly let go of in order to live each moment more fully?
🍁
A full moon on Ta**us asks us to question what we “possess”.
What in our habits, materials goods, routines, and fixed ways of being are no longer needed and are actually preventing life.
