Beechwood kicked off our Mother’s Day celebrations last Thursday with a special ‘Mother’s Day Celebration & Cake Decorating Demonstration’ featuring Grace from Cakes by Grace & Girls. Grace is a small business owner from Wynantskill, NY, who has been creating cakes for nearly 40 years. Guests enjoyed a variety of cupcakes and punch while watching Grace decorate a birthday cake while sharing her best “secrets” for baking the perfect cake. On Mother’s Day Dining Services continued the Mother’s Day festivities with a special Mother’s Day meal. To make the occasion even more festive, all the ladies received a pink chef hat to wear and enjoy during the meal. Check out the fun below!

Our enhanced assisted living community, The Terrace at Eddy Memorial, recently hosted a Slips, Trips and Falls Fair aimed at avoiding preventable falls. Residents received a “passport” they took to each table/station where they learned about a specific topic. Staff will be following up with attendees to see what changes they’re making in their daily routines to stay safe!
