First Time Moms Baby Shower 💛

This was one of our biggest First Time Moms Class turnouts! We are so grateful for the opportunity to pour into these expecting parents and help prepare them for the arrival of their sweet babies.

We are also incredibly blessed for all of those in our community who helped to make this baby shower possible!

✨ Staff Highlight: Meet Jennifer ✨

Jennifer has been at Parkgate for 7 years. She coordinates and plans our education program, Empower, that teaches sexual risk avoidance principles to local middle school and high school students. Jennifer says, "It has become a lifelong passion of mine to empower students to have healthy relationships so they can thrive".

Jennifer and her husband, Drew, have been married for 28 years and have three daughters: Olivia, Emerson, and Mallory. In her free time, she enjoys music, reading, shopping with her daughters, going for walks, and playing Mah Jong. She attends Harrisburg Baptist Church and is excitedly planning her middle daughter’s wedding this June!

🌟 Meet Danette!
Danette is a former teacher who has a heart for encouraging and equipping families. She is actively involved at Northstar Church, Tupelo Campus. She and her husband are blessed with three children, seven grandchildren, and are expecting number eight in October.
"I’ve been involved in Parkgate parenting classes since 2015. It has been my blessing to be involved with young moms and dads as they start their journey toward parenting. My desire is that through sharing parenting principles based on God‘s word, we are helping them to lay a foundation for strong biblical parenting. Sharing Jesus with these moms and dads is a real joy. Of all the ministries, I am involved in, Parkgate is my number one".

"What a privilege it is to volunteer at Parkgate! I learned about this wonderful ministry through my church, Lawndale Presbyterian Church. Because I am a Christian and an obstetric nurse I have always had a strong pro-life conviction that each child is a gift from God. I have four precious children of my own who are now grown and have children of their own-my dear grandchildren!
I love sharing my knowledge of pregnancy and the birth process with expected parents to better prepare them for these life-changing events! It is my prayer that the parents and families I serve, will look to Christ for wisdom and strength, and caring for these precious children".

Baby Shower Sponsors Needed❗️

We are seeking churches, small groups, organizations, or other groups to sponsor gift baskets for each of the moms in our First Time Moms Class.

At the end of this class, we always host a Baby Shower to support and equip these moms as they prepare for the arrival of their babies.

If interested in sponsoring, please reach out to Jima at [email protected] for more information on the baskets.

Please let us know by May 13th if you are able to sponsor.

Volunteers Needed for Baby's First Year Class Meals!

We are looking for volunteers to provide meals for our Baby's First Year class. Meals can be dropped off on Tuesday nights by 5:15 PM. Our class has approximately 7-10 people attending each session.

Volunteers only need to provide an entrée. Parkgate will provide plates, utensils, drinks, and dessert.

Dates for Meals Needed:
- May 26th
- June 2nd
- June 9th
- June 16th
- June 23rd
- June 30th
