Many people are doing all the “right” things…

✅ Trying to eat better
✅ Exercising more
✅ Taking supplements
✅ Working harder to improve their health

Yet they still feel stuck.

Why?

Because sometimes the problem isn’t what you’re adding… it’s what your body is fighting every day.

At Kizer Wellness, we often talk about Step Zero:

Before focusing on optimization, fat loss, hormones, energy, or longevity, we need to identify and reduce the hidden stressors that keep the body stuck in defense mode.

Things like:

• Poor gut health
• Chronic immune activation
• Food triggers and sensitivities
• Endotoxin (LPS) exposure
• Poor bile flow and digestion
• Inflammation from ultra-processed foods
• Chronic stress and poor sleep

Your body has a limited daily energy budget.

When too much of that energy is spent on defense and inflammation, other important functions can take a back seat:

➡️ Fat burning
➡️ Hormone balance
➡️ Brain function
➡️ Skin and hair health
➡️ Recovery and repair
➡️ Healthy aging

Sometimes the path forward isn’t doing more.

Sometimes it’s removing what’s standing in the way.

That’s how you get unstuck.

Most people think digestion starts and ends with probiotics…

But one of the most overlooked players in gut health is bile.

Bile does far more than help digest fats.

✅ Helps control unwanted bacteria in the gut
✅ Supports regular bowel movements
✅ Assists with absorption of vitamins A, D, E, and K
✅ Supports healthy cholesterol metabolism
✅ Helps maintain proper gut function and microbial balance

When bile flow is sluggish, people may experience:

• Bloating
• Constipation
• Fat intolerance
• Gas after meals
• Poor nutrient absorption
• Digestive discomfort

This is one reason our Step Zero approach focuses on optimizing the body’s “processing and filtering systems” before chasing symptoms.

Supporting bile flow may include:
✔️ Taurine
✔️ Glycine
✔️ Phosphatidylcholine (PC)
✔️ Digestive bitters
✔️ Magnesium glycinate
✔️ Proper hydration and movement

Sometimes the missing piece isn’t another probiotic…

It’s helping the body do what it was designed to do in the first place.

Your gut may be trying to tell you something.

How often do you hear yourself say:

👉 "I'm good."

👉 "I'm fine."

But are you really?

Many people have lived with low energy, brain fog, poor sleep, weight gain, digestive issues, joint aches, or declining motivation for so long that they've started to believe it's just a normal part of aging.

The reality is that many people don't even realize how much better they could feel because they've adapted to feeling less than their best.

At Kizer Pharmacy, we believe health isn't just about avoiding disease.

It's about optimization.

It's about waking up energized.

It's about having a clear mind.

It's about feeling strong, resilient, and capable.

Too many people settle for "normal" when they could be thriving.

You don't have to feel terrible to deserve better health.

Sometimes the goal isn't fixing what's broken.

It's optimizing what could be better.

Stop asking:

"Am I sick? Isn't this normal?"

Start asking:

"Could I feel even better?"

Because "fine" and "optimal" are not the same thing.

One of the most overlooked aspects of health isn’t found in a supplement bottle…

It’s found on the ingredient label.

Most people focus on:
✅ Vitamins
✅ Exercise
✅ Protein
✅ Water

But completely overlook the sauces, dressings, condiments, and toppings they use every single day.

Those “little extras” often contain:

❌ Seed oils
❌ Added sugars
❌ Artificial ingredients
❌ Emulsifiers
❌ Preservatives

And because they’re consumed daily, they can have an outsized impact on gut health, inflammation, metabolic health, and overall wellness.

At Kizer Wellness, we often talk about Step Zero—reducing the hidden stressors that force the body to spend energy on defense instead of repair.

Before asking what supplement to take, ask yourself:

What ingredients am I exposing my body to every day that I don’t need?

Sometimes the biggest health improvements come from removing things, not adding more.

PCOS is increasingly being reframed as something much bigger than an ovarian condition alone. Many experts are now using the term PMOS (Metabolic Ovulatory Syndrome) because insulin resistance and metabolic dysfunction are often major drivers behind the symptoms.

Acne. Weight gain. Irregular cycles. Cravings. Fatigue. Inflammation. Fatty liver. Fertility struggles.

These may be some of the EARLIEST signs that metabolism and insulin signaling are struggling long before more serious chronic disease develops.

The encouraging part?
Metabolic health is dynamic. It can improve.

Improving insulin sensitivity through lifestyle habits like resistance training, sleep optimization, walking after meals, protein/fiber intake, stress management, and reducing ultra-processed foods can have profound effects over time.

This is why we talk so much about metabolic health at Kizer Pharmacy and Kizer Wellness — because insulin resistance doesn’t just affect one condition. It influences MANY chronic diseases.

🚨 Pharmacist Recommended… or Paid Placement? 🤔

This week I saw a national morning show discussing the “Top Pharmacist Recommended Supplements for 2026.” One of the recommendations for magnesium? Magnesium Oxide. 😳

As a pharmacist who has spent YEARS diving deep into wellness, nutrient science, and clinical nutrition… I have to be honest: magnesium oxide is NOT the form I recommend for most people.

Why? Because magnesium oxide is very poorly absorbed. In fact, much of it stays in the gut instead of getting into circulation and tissues where magnesium is actually needed. That’s why it’s often used more for constipation support than true magnesium replenishment.

Yes, it’s cheap.
Yes, it has a high amount of “elemental magnesium” on the label.
But what matters is what your body can actually USE.

Forms like magnesium glycinate, malate, threonate, or citrate are often much better options depending on your goals.

This is also a reminder that not every “expert recommendation” is created equal. Unfortunately, supplement education is not something most healthcare professionals receive extensive training in. And sometimes what gets promoted is driven more by marketing budgets than meaningful clinical outcomes.

At Kizer Pharmacy, we spend countless hours researching ingredients, absorption, mechanisms, and clinical relevance — because details matter.

Don’t just buy the cheapest form on the shelf.
Buy the form your body can actually benefit from.

What if migraines weren’t always just a medication problem… but sometimes a nutrient problem?

A text message like this is why we do what we do. 🙌

A migraine sufferer recently reached out after being on the Kizer Wellness Migraine Support Pack + Omega-3s and shared that it had been a long time since she’d experienced a migraine.

What’s interesting? Support often doesn’t happen overnight.

Many nutrients commonly associated with migraine support — including magnesium, riboflavin (B2), CoQ10, and omega-3s — may take time as the body replenishes and restores nutrient status. Think of it less like flipping a switch and more like helping refill a tank that may have been running low for years.

Research has identified associations between migraine headaches and lower levels of certain nutrients, yet many people are never told that nutrient status may be an important piece of the puzzle.

At Kizer Pharmacy, we believe in asking deeper questions and focusing on foundational health first.

💬 Have you ever looked beyond symptom management and asked why migraines keep showing up?

Type “MIGRAINE” in the comments if you’d like more information.

Migraines aren’t “just headaches.”
They’re one of the leading causes of lost productivity, missed life events, ER visits, and chronic suffering.

What frustrates me?

Even in healthcare… we often skip over the foundational nutrient deficiencies that many migraine sufferers may have.

Research has repeatedly looked at nutrients like:
• Magnesium
• Riboflavin (Vitamin B2)
• CoQ10
• Omega-3 fatty acids

Why?

Because the brain is one of the most energy-demanding organs in the body.

Migraines have been associated with:
• mitochondrial energy dysfunction
• neuroinflammation
• oxidative stress
• nervous system hypersensitivity

And these nutrients play major roles in:
✔️ cellular energy production
✔️ inflammation balance
✔️ nerve signaling
✔️ vascular function

That doesn’t mean nutrients “cure” migraines.
And many people still need medications.

But shouldn’t we at least ask:
“Is the brain getting the raw materials it needs to function well?”

At Kizer Pharmacy and Kizer Wellness, we believe foundations matter.

Taurine is one of the most overlooked nutrients when it comes to nervous system balance, heart health, and metabolism.

It’s not a stimulant—it actually helps calm the system and support the parasympathetic (rest and recover) state.

Low taurine levels may contribute to:
• Poor sleep
• Heart rhythm issues
• Blood sugar instability
• “Wired but tired” feeling

Most people don’t realize taurine also plays a key role in bile flow and digestion, which ties directly into gut health and metabolic function.

👉 Found primarily in animal foods, but stress and modern diets can leave many people depleted.

At Kizer Pharmacy, we focus on foundational nutrients first—because that’s where real health starts.

💬 Comment “TAURINE” if you want help building your foundation.
