We have an updated nuclear medicine room with expanded hours, 7 am - 2:30 pm, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Nuclear medicine uses very small amounts of a radioactive substance for diagnosis and treatment of various conditions, including cancer.

Last week we celebrated Johanna Eckhardt, Medical Laboratory Scientist at SBLFCH, as our Employee of the Year. Johanna’s original nominator wrote: Johanna takes her role very seriously and strives to ensure all of our patients are treated with respect and dignity. She has been instrumental in addressing our social drivers of health needs for our patients. Johanna ensures our Food Farmacy is stocked and food supplies area available for our employees and patients. Johanna does an amazing job honoring our service members including the missing man table in the front lobby. She also has lead our charge of preferred name campaign to ensure our patients are addressed properly during their hospital stay. Our Excellence a Way of Life team would not be a success as it is without her leadership. Her efforts encapsulates our mission and values as well as our standards of performance. Thank you for all you do, Johanna!
