🐺 A Day at Wolf Haven International 🐺
Our group recently took a peaceful and memorable trip to Wolf Haven International in Tenino, where we had the opportunity to learn about wolves and see these incredible animals up close.
Wolf Haven’s story began in the late 1970s, when Steve and Linda K***z took in a wolf named Blackfoot and began learning about the unique needs of these animals. In 1982, they moved their organization to Tenino and established what would become Wolf Haven International. Since then, the sanctuary has provided lifetime homes for more than 325 displaced, captive-born wolves, wolfdogs, and coyotes while working to conserve and protect wolves and their natural habitats.
Walking through the sanctuary, listening to the stories of the resident animals, and simply taking in the quiet presence of these beautiful creatures was truly moving. ❤️ Our residents came away with a deeper appreciation for wolves, the challenges they face, and the importance of places like Wolf Haven that give them a safe and compassionate home.
It was one of those outings where we left feeling a little more connected to the natural world—and very grateful for the experience. 🐺🌲
