Our therapeutic garden is about much more than growing food.

It’s becoming a place for children and caregivers to connect, regulate, try new things, build confidence, and experience moments of joy together. 🌱

For this year’s Give More 24, we’re raising funds to help grow this space, and an anonymous donor will match donations dollar for dollar up to $5,000.

Access to mental health care also means being able to connect with a therapist who understands how you communicate and experience the world.

We’re proud to have Kali, our bilingual and bicultural Deaf therapist, as part of the Family Solutions team.

Clients and families can access therapy services with Kali in our clinic or at Washington School for the Deaf.

We are Family Solutions. 💚

This year marks a huge milestone for us — Family Solutions is celebrating 25 years of offering hope and healing to children and families in Southwest Washington!

Each year, our team serves more than 1,500 children and families across Southwest Washington through therapy, family support, care coordination, medication management, peer support, and more.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing more about the people, spaces, and programs that make this work possible as we count down to Give More 24 on September 24th.

Last month, we installed a water spigot right by the garden, and last week, volunteers finished setting up drip irrigation throughout our in-ground beds. Since then, the plants have been thriving, and the days of carrying heavy water jugs all the way from the building are officially behind us!

This upgrade was made possible through the generosity of our donors and community partners, along with the time and hard work of our incredible volunteers. Thank you for helping our garden grow!

🎨🌿 Family Art Studio in ASL is back this month with a Nature theme!

This ASL-centric event welcomes families with Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing children to connect, create, and communicate together — whiteboards and ASL resources will be on hand for anyone still learning. Drop in anytime, no need to stay the whole time.

This garden keeps growing because of our incredible community.

We recently planted tomato, zucchini, kale, pumpkin, and squash starts donated by clients, staff, community members, and local partners. They’re growing fast, and some are already producing!

A special thank you to Growing Gardens, Regenerate Garden Design, Phil’s Farm, and Ant Farm for helping make this possible.

🥕 First harvests!

We’ve already harvested mustard greens, lettuce, and some carrots — a few bigger ones and some teeny tiny ones too. Clients have also been enjoying strawberries, blueberries, currants, and snap peas… and apparently the bunnies have been helping themselves too. 🐇

Coming up next: tomatoes, purple cabbage, and zucchini!
