The reason what you are doing to help your timid or anxious kid isn't working is simpler than you think. Here's the part most parents skip -

It's summer and the kids are home and you need ways to make it all go as smooth as possible.

You have a plan but when it comes to your kid digging their heels in and and refusing to budge, well, so much for the plan, right?

Stop cajoling and put the responsibility on your child. Yes, that's right, their responsibility and it's easy. You just need to give them the tools that motivate them to try new things.

name their plush.
