It’s okay to cry….
Grief Is Real and Ugly and Part of the Healing
Today is my father’s birthday. He passed away in 2022, and today I’m choosing to make space for everything this day holds.
Grief is part of healing.
It is just as necessary as rest, nourishing food, movement, sunlight, and all the other things we do to care for ourselves. Healing isn’t always about fixing, pushing forward, or trying to feel better. Sometimes, healing means allowing ourselves to feel the loss—to honor the love that still remains.
So today, I am taking the day away from work. I’m giving myself permission to be still, to remember, and to sit in my love for my father and the memories we shared.
Because grief is love with nowhere physical to go—and it deserves time, space, and tenderness too. 🤍
