“I’m learning to show up for myself, which allows me to show up for others.” 🤍

Tera joined 2PiFit to regain control of her health, get stronger, and build consistency. Between menopause, autoimmune issues, joint pain, and fatigue, prioritizing herself wasn’t always easy.

Since starting, she’s noticed improvements in her strength, energy, sleep, and nutrition. With support from her trainers, she’s learned to adapt when challenges arise and keep moving forward. 💪

Tera’s journey is a reminder that progress isn’t just about what you see in the mirror. It’s about building healthy habits, changing your mindset, and continuing to show up for yourself.

Her advice to anyone thinking about starting?

“Will the journey be perfect? Absolutely not! There will be hiccups, but you MUST keep your goal in mind. Don’t give up on yourself!” ✨

We’re so proud of you, Tera! 💚

“Why do I always feel deadlifts in my low back?”

We hear this one a lot.

First, your back muscles do work during a deadlift — so feeling them doesn’t automatically mean you’re doing something wrong.

But if your low back is doing more work than you expect, or you’re consistently feeling the exercise somewhere you don’t want to, that gives us information worth paying attention to.

Instead of immediately blaming your back, we look at the whole movement.

Are you actually hinging at the hips?

Can you create and maintain a good brace?

Does your starting position work for your body?

Are you using a range of motion you can control?

What happens when we change the load — or as you begin to fatigue?

Sometimes a small coaching cue makes a big difference.

Sometimes we change the setup, range of motion or exercise variation.

And sometimes discomfort tells us it’s time to stop and look more closely rather than trying to push through it.

That’s why there isn’t one magic deadlift correction that works for everyone.

Good coaching isn’t just about making an exercise look right. It’s about understanding how the person in front of you is moving — and adjusting from there. 💚

Follow The Re-Cal for more of the details that help you train smarter and move better.

Feeling stiff lately?

Your first thought might be:

“I really need to stretch more.”

Maybe.

But feeling tight or stiff doesn’t always mean your muscles simply need a longer stretch.

Sometimes what feels like a flexibility problem may also involve strength, stability, control or how well your body can actually use the range of motion you have.

In our latest blog, we’re breaking down the difference between flexibility and mobility — and why endlessly stretching the spot that feels tight may not address what’s actually going on.

Because feeling tight is a clue — not a diagnosis.

🎃 NEW DATE! TWO EXPERIENCES. ONE FUN MORNING!

Join us at 2PiFit on Saturday, October 31 at 10:00 AM for a special event focused on education, movement, and community!

💪 For Adults & StrongHer Parents:
We’re welcoming Dr. Jared Bugaj of Ohio Sports Chiropractic & Rehab for an interactive Injury Prevention & Movement Workshop!

Learn about core function, back health, movement, and recovery through practical demonstrations and Q&A. Dr. Jared will also offer optional brief soft tissue treatments following the workshop.

👻 For Our StrongHer Athletes:
While the adults learn, Coach Caylee will lead a fun Halloween-themed group workout!

StrongHer athletes — bring a friend! It’s a great opportunity to have fun, get moving, and introduce someone new to StrongHer.

We’ve been keeping a pretty BIG secret. 👀

2PiFit is growing!

Beginning October 1, we’re officially adding Unit D — the space right next door to our current studio. 💚

This next chapter will give us more room to grow 2PiFit, expand what we can offer our community, and create something especially exciting for our StrongHer female athletes.

But first… we have some work to do. 🔨😂

Over the next few months, we’ll be transforming the new space and taking you behind the scenes as it comes together.

There will be planning.

There will be construction.

There will probably be a few surprises along the way.

And eventually, there will be a whole lot more room to get stronger. 💪

We’re incredibly excited about what’s ahead — and even more excited to bring you along for it.

Welcome to the next chapter of 2PiFit.

Stay tuned. This is just the beginning. 💚

If you’ve trained with Celena, you already know. 😂

“YOU GOT THIS!” is basically her battle cry.

If she says 30 seconds, don’t bother checking the clock. According to her clients, Celena Time works differently than regular time. ⏱️😂

If she says 8 reps, someone is definitely counting along… because apparently her rep-counting privileges have been revoked.

And “one more” should never be taken too literally.

There will probably be a dead bug somewhere in your program.

She’ll notice the tiny form change you were hoping she didn’t see.

And if she looks at the weight you picked up and gives you that look… just grab the heavier one. 😏

But there’s a reason “YOU GOT THIS!” stuck enough that a client actually put it on a shirt.

Because even when you’re not quite convinced you can do it yet, Celena usually is. 💚

Lunch was at noon.

Practice is at 5:00.

What did your athlete eat in between?

For a lot of young athletes, the answer is… not much.

She goes from lunch → classes → homework or activities → straight into practice or training.

But your athlete isn’t just training.

She’s growing, learning, recovering AND playing a sport.

That requires fuel.

An after-school or pre-practice snack can help bridge that long gap and give her energy going into training.

Think carbohydrates for energy + some protein to support her overall nutrition and recovery.

And it doesn’t need to be complicated:

🍌 Banana + Greek yogurt
🥨 Pretzels + a cheese stick
🍎 Apple + peanut butter
🥯 Half a bagel + turkey
🥣 Yogurt + granola + fruit
🥛 Chocolate milk + a banana

The exact snack will depend on your athlete, what she tolerates well and how much time she has before training.

The bigger message?

Don’t ask a growing athlete to consistently train on an empty tank.

Fueling is part of training, too. 💜

Your knees cave in when you squat.

Does that automatically mean you have “weak glutes”?

Not necessarily.

When we see a knee moving inward during a squat, we don’t just tell someone to push their knees out and call it fixed.

We look at the bigger picture.

How are your feet interacting with the floor?
Do you have the mobility you need?
Can you control the movement?
Does it change as you fatigue or add load?

Sometimes a cue helps. Sometimes we need to modify the movement. And sometimes what you see at the knee is giving us information about something happening somewhere else.

That’s why good coaching isn’t just about correcting what a movement looks like.

It’s about understanding why it’s happening.

🎥 Follow along with The Re-Cal as we break down the little details that can make a big difference in how you move and train.

Your bones are changing after 40 — even if you can’t feel it happening.

And while we can’t stop aging, there’s a lot we can do to support strong, resilient bones for the years ahead. 💪

In our latest blog, we’re breaking down why bone health deserves more attention in midlife — and how strength training, appropriate impact, nutrition and everyday habits can all play a role.

Because the goal isn’t just stronger bones today.

It’s staying strong, capable and independent for decades to come. 💚

Every athlete wants to get faster.

But here’s something parents may not think about:

How well can your athlete slow down?

In most sports, athletes rarely sprint in a straight line and simply stop.

They accelerate. Slow down. Cut. Change direction. React. Then go again.

That’s where deceleration comes in.

Learning to slow the body down with control helps an athlete manage force and get into a better position for whatever comes next.

That’s why you’ll see our StrongHer athletes practicing more than strength and speed.

We work on how they land, stop, control their bodies and change direction — then progressively build those skills as they get stronger and more confident.

Because developing a better athlete isn’t just about how fast she can go.

It’s also about how well she can control what happens when she gets there. 💪
