Has any client actually asked to see all your certificates?

What they DO ask is whether you can help with what they're carrying, and for a lot of us, that question has an uncomfortable answer. We were trained to work with what a client can put into words.

Trauma doesn't always stay there.

The TIWL Certification is a framework for working with the nervous system directly, alongside the clinical work you already do. What that changes:

The clients you can take instead of refer out.
What your time is worth.
Whether other providers know to send people to you.

The Certificate is the part you can hang on a wall. It's the least interesting thing you leave with.

Some days feel heavy. Some feel hopeful. Whatever today looks like, you’re welcome here exactly as you are. 💙

Everything feels cringe until you hear someone say "you inspired me to start."

You never know who needs to see you keep going. And you definitely never know whose life might change because you decided to post that video, try that class, or not give up.

Thank you for showing up.

The Lift worked because 7 communities spent a weekend doing strength training differently. Every movement had a modification. Every coach offered options instead of instructions. Every person set their own pace for the full 90 minutes. That is not a small thing to pull off in a gym.

To everyone who registered, lifted, coached, donated, or came to be in the room: thank you 😊

And to the gyms that hosted before anyone knew how it would go. CovenFit, Mind & Muscle VT, Evolve Flagstaff, Current Wellness, Rose City Barbell Club, Rewoven Wellness, and Empower Fitness. You gave this a place to happen.

What you raised goes into coach certification, accessibility, and getting trauma-informed strength training within reach of more people year-round. The weekend is over. What it funds isn't. 🫶

Youth athletes aren't just developing physically. They're developing relationally, neurologically, and emotionally too—often inside competitive environments that were never built to hold all of that.

CFTE's most recent Roundtable Event, "Beyond Performance," brought together clinicians, coaches, and movement practitioners to explore what we know about trauma's impact on youth development, and what it actually takes to build environments where young athletes feel safe, supported, and capable of growing.

The conversation explored how somatic interventions, from TCTSY to strength training, can work alongside the relational support coaches already provide. We also got practical about what best practices can look like when the goal is the whole athlete, not just the performance.

This conversation is for anyone who coaches, cares for, parents, or trains young people who move.

If you missed it or want to revisit the discussion, you can now watch the full roundtable at youtube.com/

Spots for The Lift are limited, and they're moving.

This isn't a typical workout. It's 90 minutes of strength training built around choice, not pressure. No experience required, just a willingness to show up.

Every registration funds TIWL's mission to make trauma-informed strength training accessible to more people.

August 28-30. In person and virtual.

❌ We don’t comment on your body. Period.

Listen, getting to the gym is already hard enough. The last thing you need is to have your body commented on. There are so many references to body parts that are meant to shame. There are also intended compliments gone wrong.

Your intention may not be the impact you have on another person because we all have different lived experiences around our bodies.

We won’t be perfect, because who is…..but we keep language top of mind. This is one of the ways we are a safe(r) space than many. Our focus isn’t strictly on how we train, but also how people really feel when they walk into our space.
