We represent America’s innovative biopharmaceutical research & biotechnology companies, advocating for policies that support the discovery of new medicines and ensure broad patient access to safe, effective treatments.

Gilead Sciences just opened a new Research Center in Foster City, CA as part of its $32B U.S. investment through 2030.

This will expand on their capabilities in oncology, inflammation and research data science to advance medicines for some of the world’s most challenging diseases.

When biopharmaceutical companies invest in America, patients win.

Watch the video below from when they first broke ground on the new facility last year! 🔽

Innovation doesn't happen in a vacuum. Strong intellectual property protections give researchers the confidence to collaborate, share breakthroughs and build on each other's work, all while safeguarding the ideas that make new treatments possible.

That collaboration doesn't just speed up discovery. It drives down costs for the entire system. IP protection isn't a barrier to innovation. It's the foundation of it.

Some hospitals and clinics are running up the score on 340B markups, generating billions in profits with no requirement patients benefit.

The 340B program was created to help vulnerable patients access medicines. Today, too many hospitals use it to generate revenue with little accountability for how those profits are spent.

Patients lose. Hospitals win.

It's time to fix 340B.

When Fred was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis, he accepted that there may never be a cure. He accepted the fact that it was now sometimes a struggle just to breathe, stand up and move around his own house.

Then in October 2025, the FDA approved a breakthrough treatment for pulmonary fibrosis. Because Fred lives in the United States, he was able to access this medicine quickly.

Patients in America get new medicines nearly three years faster than patients in other countries.

Tell Washington to keep America in the lead.

Evergreening + Hopping

America's IP system rewards meaningful innovation while preserving generic and biosimilar competition. New patents protect new inventions, not the original medicine indefinitely. Our latest resources unpack the facts behind claims about "evergreening" and "product hopping."

MFN price controls are often framed as a simple fix to drug pricing. The reality is more complicated.

Independent analyses project that more than $500 billion in planned manufacturing and infrastructure investment could be at risk, along with 1.5 million jobs nationwide under a broad MFN policy. Additionally, public pension funds, which help secure the retirement of 36 million Americans, could lose $46 billion annually.

Policymakers must reject MFN and protect the innovative ecosystem patients in the U.S. rely on.
